Dr. Burnett is a general adult psychiatrist with experience treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders. Her areas of special interest include anxiety and mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and women’s mental health.
Dr. Burnett earned her bachelor’s degree from Reed College and her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. She completed her psychiatry residency at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute. Prior to joining CalPsychiatry, she served as Chief Resident of the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at UCLA, where she gained specialty training in both the pharmacologic and psychotherapeutic aspects of treating anxiety disorders and OCD.
Dedicated to providing excellent mental health care, Dr. Burnett brings humility, curiosity and warmth to her practice. She believes the relationship between physician and patient lies at the heart of any successful treatment plan. As such, her approach is collaborative rather than didactic, honoring the inherent expertise that every patient has regarding their own lived experience.
Dr. Burnett currently offers in-person appointments out of the West LA office as well as via telepsychiatry visits.
