Power List edition: The view from Multimillion-dollar travel agencies
Travel Weekly’s Power List every year tracks the sales totals of the biggest travel agencies: those companies making $100 million or more annually in travel sales. Such as: Valerie Wilson Travel, which in 2019, the last “normal” year of travel, posted $325 million in travel sales, and Conlin Travel, which reported $180.2 million.
In this week’s episode, Conlin CEO Christopher Conlin and Valerie Wilson co-president Jennifer Wilson-Buttegieg – who joined the podcast from Paris -- examined a number of topics: How their agencies responded to the travel falloff in 2020, the split of leisure and corporate-travel business, mergers and financial assistance (including Valerie Wilson’s acquisition by another Power List agency, Frosch Travel) and current trends in travel.
