The news of Texas covered today includes:
Our Lone Star story of the day: The violent, fatal attack on National Guard troops in the nation’s capitol has the fully anti-immigration folks rattling their swords loudly. Frankly, they have strong points to make and the points on their rhetorical swords were sharpened by naive, careless, and incompetent Democratic Party policy that itself has served to sharpen those points enough to be turned back upon themselves, Democrats, as serious political and cultural weapons.

An example out of Wichita County of how wasteful were COVID grant programs. What does a new tax office have to do with WuFlu?
Can we please stop trying to one up each other over the so-called “first Thanksgiving?” It’s pointless and while the Texas claim is correct over a mass being held in thanksgiving, it was not the same thing as what we recognize with the Pilgrims.

Our Lone Star story of the day: A new ruling in the case of the City of Kemaj abusing citizens from the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals will have far reaching consequences for Texas and local governments that abuse the rights of citizens. One key takeaway: The court “…asserted that a “taking” of property occurs at the time a government takes an action that makes the property unusable.”

The news of Texas covered today includes:
Our Lone Star story of the day: Respected judge on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Jerry Smith, says of the ruling blocking Texas Congressional redistricting: “If this were a law school exam, the opinion would deserve an F.” Smith called the action of district court judges Brown and Guaderrama “outrageous conduct.” Smith said of the three judge panel that it was the worst he has ever seen in a case in which he was involved and accused Brown of “pernicious judicial misbehavior.”
It wasn’t just the terrible legal opinion, Brown and Guaderrama appear to have short circuited the judicial process with an attempt to derail Judge Smith’s dissenting opinion.

Texas Monthly preposterously claims it is Lt. Gov. Patrick and conservatives trying to re-write the history of the Alamo! There must not be an ounce of integrity at the magazine anymore. The Leftists admitted all along that it was their intention to rewrite Texas history and the story of the Alamo to focus on other things, mostly of the woke nature. Thank the Lord that Patrick has a sharp person reviewing what goes into the new museum because as we learned recently, even the head of Alamo Trust is a woke history revisionist. She’s out and now she has filed a lawsuit.
