Our Lone Star story of the day: Democratic Socialists are, in their own words, dedicated to establishing the USA as communist state. DSA members and adherents are soldiers of the Cold War on the Soviet side, they are traitors to our country. More are noticing that James Talarico has long expressed DSA values even agreeing that our free capitalist system needs replacing with communism. No wonder the Chinese Commies love him. Another story: Talarico’s ‘proud capitalist’ about-face collides with resurfaced call to ‘dismantle’ capitalism.

Our Lone Star story of the day: Are “educational foundations” for public school districts just another way to cheat the school finance system and the court order behind such? Some legislators have awakened to such in the case of relatively small Barbers Hill ISD in Mont Belvieu which has a foundation with a corpus of about $250,000,000 and is rife with what appear to be conflicts of interest. Two good write-ups on yesterday’s hearing on the matter:

Our Lone Star story of the day: Good news for Taylor and Ector County taxpayers – your county officials are not raising your property taxes this next year. Overall, going on 20-years, taxpayers in Texas have been getting a raw deal from local governments, especially municipalities as city council folk have increased the size of government spending grossly beyond population and inflation. This story at The Texan gives a good summary of such looking at the cities of the Texas Triangle.

Our Lone Star story of the day: Lubbock County Democrat Party leadership attacks Lubbock Young Republicans claiming a term it used online is “racist.”
No amount of stretching language to fit a preconception allows me to see how “vote hard R this November” is racist or even objectionable to anyone, other than soft R’s! The term has been used for my entire life to describe a voter who votes in each GOP primary and votes Republican each general election. Sorry, Dems but I don’t live in the gutter you do so I am happily ignorant of why you say that voting “hard R” in November is a “deeply harmful racial slur.”
And notice the irresponsibility of the Lubbock media. At least three outlets ran the story but did not bother to explain (or even inquire?) how the term or phrase has racial undertones. If it isn’t obvious then it requires explaining otherwise you are just running baseless attacks.

Our Lone Star story of the day: “God is not a Christian!” proclaimed Little Jimmy “The Creep” Talarico in a sermon delivered to his apostasy-riddled church in Austin. Not only was he overtly leftwing political in the sermon, he was repeatedly heretical event to the point of saying Christians are in fellowship with pagans and atheists.

Texas unemployment rate at 4.5 percent in July; Texas leading the nation in job creation.
Scurry County judge elect, Russell Wall, accused of child sex crimes. This is undoubtedly political skullduggery from the social set of the incumbent county judge who Wall beat in the GOP primary, Dan Hicks. It is reported to me that the Scurry Co. Republican Party chairman is saying Hicks should be put on the ballot by the executive committee as he came in second – with no regard to a known incumbent being thrown out by GOP voters. Also, it has been reported to me at the judge who signed the arrest warrant is Dana Cooley who is married to Dan Hick’s son (this has not been independently verified by me.)
