In this episode, Beth is talking about the theme for the latest Delay and Pray Group Coaching experience: Fasting for Father.
“If you are going to successfully spiritually fast, you will need a ‘why that makes you cry.’”
- Beth Bubik
For twelve weeks, Beth and her clients are fasting for every version of “father”: clergy, husbands, and men as a whole. Today, Beth is particularly talking about the importance of fasting for our husbands, and how it can change them - and us - for the better.
Beth describes her marriage to her own husband, and shares the incredible fruits she has seen in their relationship since she began fasting for him three years ago. She explains that in spiritual fasting, it is deeply motivating to have two goals: a weight loss goal, and a spiritual goal. Let your husband be that spiritual goal: “the why that makes you cry.” She encourages us to join her in fasting, praying, and frequenting the sacraments with and for our husbands. As time goes by, you will see your weight drop, your marriage soar, and your dreams come to life. After all, God will not be outdone in generosity.
