A classic case of constraints acting as a spur to creativity – and in the process destroying the imperialist goal of monopolising new technology. The US stock market has been sent into a tailspin by the emergence of a new AI chatbot from China, which was far cheaper to make and is far more efficient to run that its US rival ChatGPT. Moreover, by offering it essentially free to the world, the Silicon Valley AI business model has been destroyed at a stroke.

While the war for liberation is far from over, the Israeli entity has been mortally wounded. As part of the Gaza ceasefire deal, the resistance forces have agreed to exchange 33 Israeli prisoners for 1,000 Palestinians, some of whom have been in prison for many decades. As the ceasefire came into effect, the world was shocked to see how well equipped and numerous the resistance forces in Gaza were, and how well-fed and happy the Israeli prisoners it released were, despite 15 months of incessant bombardment of the tiny Gaza Strip. During the press conference on 25 January, the four female soldiers seen above were flanked by members of the Qassam brigades holding Tavor guns that could only have been obtained by capture from Israeli elite forces.

Last week I (Joti Brar) spoke with Garland Nixon about the war of narratives going on between the USA and Europe. As the Trump administration tries to pull the USA out of the Ukraine war, British and European leaders are doing everything they can to keep the war going.
A huge propaganda war has been the result, with every mainstream British news outlet receiving the memo loud and clear, from the Sun newspaper to the Guardian, and on to Paul Mason and the Trotskyite controlled opposition.
Why is Britain in particular so desperate to push on with the war? Why does it still consider itself a global power despite its shrinking army and almost non-existent industrial base?
And what have we learned about Ukraine as a result of the public spats of the imperialists? When thieves fall out, honest men come by their own, says the old saying. And when capitalists fight amongst themselves, they start hurling uncomfortable truths into the public domain – truths that are providing an education to the workers about the workings of the system.
In particular, we have had confirmed by the president of the USA and members of his administration that:
1. The EuroMaidan 'revolution' was a coup.
2. The war in Ukraine was started under the Obama administration, and Trump knew about it and sent weapons to keep it going the last time he was in office.
3. The Ukraine war is a proxy war between Nato and Russia, with Ukraine as its battlefield and Ukrainians as Nato's proxy army.
4. The imperialists' main goal is to get their hands on the resources of Ukraine and Russia.
5. Volodymyr Zelensky is not a legitimate president because a. Maidan was a coup, and b. his electoral mandate, such as it was, ran out over a year ago.

Is it possible to be hailed as ‘the world’s richest man’ and also be ‘a rebel’ and a ‘friend of the people’? It is a part of bourgeois myth-making that the names of exploiters who are well-known are almost always those whose elevation to the level of the super-rich was made during their own lifetimes, while those who simply inherit their vast fortunes tend to live their parasitic lives out of the public eye. But what is less well understood is that none of these ‘rags to riches’ billionaires started life in the ranks of the proletariat. They are all privately educated and had access to family capital and connections which enabled them to take advantage of opportunities and put their businesses on the only footing that would enable rapid growth: the ability to employ the labour-power of others.
