Being a Multifamily Real Estate Agent is a great industry to be in but it will take time. New agents need to understand that the first few months will be hard for many reasons; the main one being, no closed transactions. But once you start getting traction, it gets a lot better. 

Another very important thing is the right mentorship. If your broker does not care about you from the start, you need to pivot and find a better mentor. At JLM we put a lot of effort into training our agents and helping them grow!

This deal has been a nightmare for many reasons. Starting off with one of the worst tenants I have ever encountered, it was extremely difficult getting him to leave and the long evection process didn't help.

While we were in the middle of escrow the city shuts us down for doing construction. Then they make us pull permits and 13 months later we are still in escrow! Listen to how this could've all been avoided and how to avoid this mistake. It has been an absolute nightmare.
