Purdue released, this week, their non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season. The year after Zach Edey leaves, you would expect Matt Painter to take his foot off the throttle. Instead, it’s pedal-to-the-metal. Of Purdue’s 11 non-conference games, six are against Power conference opponents. How will Fletcher Loyer and Braden Smith fare now that they don’t have the Big Man to draw all the attention? Kentucky also recently released their 13-game non-conference schedule (SEC only plays 18 conference games). How will Mark Pope’s crew do in Year 1? FSU continues to try and worm their way out of the ACC, but the problem is that they may not have a home if and when they do get out. Brett McMurphy is reporting that neither the SEC or Big Ten wants Florida State.
