Reese Hopper is the day-to-day manager of Jeremiah Davis aka That One Blond Kid (Ep 71), a world traveling videographer and content creator. With the experience he's had from the entrepreneurship and freelance space over the past two years, he consults brands/creatives and helps solve any issues that they might have.

Raised in Fresno, CA he was extremely involved as a child. From being in his own band to playing baseball, soccer and running cross country, he tried anything that interested him.

He went on to study Communications at Azusa Pacific University. After graduating from there, he moved to Venice, CA where he would work at a local coffee shop three separate times all the while trying to live full-time as a freelancer.

Most recently he launched his IGTV series breaking down different topics within the freelance space including Outreach, Sacrifices, Making It, Relational, Brands, Rates and Pride. He believes the best way to know how much you’re worth comes down to how much you believe you’re worth.

In this episode Reese discusses giving away value for free right off the bat when trying to get your name out there, don’t beat yourself up if you fall down. His morning routine includes no-email or social media for the first 2 hours of his day. Focus on building relationships instead of focusing on the transaction and how it’s no longer a one in a million chance of making it with your passion.

This week Noah (@Kxng.Tone) from Philadelphia, PA asked "Advice for someone who wants to do something but isn't sure if they'll be good at it?"

Bearded Man Answer: The only way we can ever become great at something is by starting. Analyze your strengths + weaknesses and figure out how you're going to do the "thing" you're interested in doing.

You're going to fail / fall on your face a million times, that's a given. I've done it and so too does every successful person in this world do it as well. The key is getting back up and learning as you go.

Abstract is a recording artist on his first nationwide tour, Virtual Reality, alongside Ryan Oakes and Dylan Reese. Back in Spring of 2018, he played his music in Europe, 6,000+ miles away from his home on About Time, An International Tour with Yonas.

Born in New Jersey and raised in Jackson, Wyoming he started playing music very young. He had always been artistic, loved to draw and write as well. Early on he found out he was adopted at birth and thought of it as a blessing because he could create who he wanted to be and   not feel tied to following the footsteps of anyone.

Abstract did homeschool for a year so that he could focus on competitive skiing but with time he found his true passion was for creating and went all in on music. With years of trial and error, his studio became an environment for him to hone in on his craft. Even with all his producers living overseas, there has been a constant line of communication that is running 24 hours a day. No one is left behind and if he eats, they all do as well.

He has spent the past two years on his next him album that will incorporate a short film. As creatives, he believes we can express ourselves through any medium as long as we’re not afraid to put time into learning them.

In this episode he discusses the ability to fund his ideas is his definition of success, flow with the universe and don’t force things, taking inspiration from everything & creating something of our own and treating time as the opportunity.

Was great to connect with Zack Honarvar for Episode 95 Shoot Your Shot. Not only is he the manager of Yes Theory + Founder of One Day Entertainment but he is another bearded brother! That’s always an extra 2 points in my book.

Having seen what Yes Theory was doing over the past 6/12 months and stumbling across Zack’s Instagram / reading into his story I knew this was someone I had to get on the podcast.

I respect people like Zack who know what they want and are willing to do everything / anything to make it happen. Hustle is something that can’t be taught to people. You either have it or you don’t.

My good friend James Berkeley (Episode 12 of the podcast) asked me about anxiety/depression and how to help overcome them and find the energy to break out of the norm and pursue your passion.

This is my opinion. Take it for what it is.

Beating Depression:
- Eat Healthy + Workout 5/6 days a week
- Communicate with POSITIVE people / cut out the negative ones
- Be cautious of what you consume on social media
- Write 3 things you're most grateful for in the morning + at night
- When something negative happens in your life, find 1 positive from it
- Listen to podcasts like The Gary Vee Audio Experience, The School of Greatness, Short Story Long
- Listen to uplifting music

Beating Anxiety:
- Be present + patient. Focus on this moment, not the past or future.
- Live your life 24 hours at a time
- Don't worry about what everyone else is doing, focus on what you need to do
- Don't be scared to fail. You will learn more from the failures than the wins
- Anytime you feel overwhelmed, close your eyes + breathe. Everything is going to be good!

Zack Honarvar is the manager for Yes Theory, a group who creates videos proving to the world that the only way to live an authentic and fulfilling life is to do the things that make us uncomfortable. He is also the founder behind One Day Entertainment, a talent management and business development agency that is figuring out what it takes to become the best.

Raised in Toronto, the hustle was in his blood at a young age when in 7th grade he started selling chocolate bars out of his backpack.  Watching athletes like Kobe Bryant and listening to rap music such as Jay-Z positively influenced him because he saw and heard what great work ethic can do for people.

During his senior year at Wilfrid Laurier University in need of new laptop, he raised enough money to purchase one by selling advertising space on his MacBook to several businesses. He even got the company who was lasering etching the logos for him to do this service free of charge.

He lasted 6 months at his first job out of college before landing a sales position at Shopify. Over the next two years he would learn firsthand how to communicate with people and that no idea is worth anything if you can’t sell it.

Hesitant at first, he accepted an offer to become Yes Theory’s full-time manager. The day he boarded the plane to move West to Venice, California, he found out that Will Smith had accepted Yes Theory’s challenge to bungee jump out of a helicopter. After months of communication the offer was recently finalized in Budapest. September 25th, Will’s 50th birthday, he's bungee jumping out of a helicopter over the Grand Canyon.

In this episode Zack discusses the idea of always being a student and never the master, always starting with why, being mentored by Scooter Braun, helping other people with zero expectation of anything in return and why we must shoot our shot.

Even when things aren’t going the way I’d like it to go, I do my absolute best to stay positive. One easy way to do that is to take a step back and think about what you’re most grateful for. It’s like hitting a reset button and you’re like “Why am I even pissed?” cause like most things, the world isn’t going to end.

When people screw you over, you don’t land the dream job, you don’t get into the college you’ve dying to attend, your photos didn’t come out that well from Coachella, your podcast had audio issues during the production (which I’ve been guilty of, booooo Bobbay!) or whatever it might be… what is the positive? What can we learn from it?

Change the lense on how you see the world and watch how quickly you change the way you react to situations. Do you see something as a setback or do you see it as a valuable lesson to be learned that will help better prepare you for the future?  

Always remember this : Positivity Is The ONLY Option. Period.

Jordan Levine is the tour manager for recording artist Bazzi and works alongside Wasted Potential, an all around design & management company in the music industry.

Raised in Vernon Hills, Illinois he always had an interest in being involved in the music industry. In high school he began to realize that he could do anything that he wanted and found ways to get involved. He booked his first show, flew in an artist from out of state and brought in 150+ people from surrounding high schools. Although money was lost, it was a starting point for him.

After graduating from the University of Iowa in 2016, he locked in a gig to sell merch for Huey Mack on tour alongside Sammy Adams. From there, things started to pick up.

He tour managed JMSN, did a one off show with Quincy, traveled 34 cities across the nation + 10 European stops with Witt Lowry and had a chance to be an assistant tour manager for G-Eazy.

Today he’s working full-time for Bazzi as they head out on The Cosmic Tour and get ready to head to Europe alongside Justin Timberlake for The Man Of The Woods Tour.

In this episode Jordan discusses how your personality, character, willingness to learn and grind is what will land you the right opportunities. Be patient, things won’t always happen right away. The way you carry yourself is key, BE confident and why sometimes we have to roll the dice.

Greatness is my motivation, it’s as simple as that. I don’t know why, I don’t know where it stems back to but I want to be great in every way possible. I want to strive everyday to become just a little bit better than I was the day before and continue to do so moving forward.

There’s the highs and the lows, so don’t think I’m perfect cause I’m not! (my beard is tho hehe) but seriously I and all the people we admire the most go through these rollercoasters but I think what sets us back on track is reminding ourselves of what our goals are and not getting upset with the short term setbacks.

Lewis Howes from The School of Greatness podcast always asks his guests the final question - “What’s your definition of greatness?” and I believe that it someone who continues to show up, who continues to push forward no matter what obstacle is thrown in their way.
