Today I want to share with you guys + gals something special. This was originally created as a video which you can find on my YouTube channel by searching Bobby Hobert but I wanted to share it with those who might only listen to the audio format of the podcast.

Today marks 2 years since I graduated college and when I think back to that moment it amazes me how far I’ve come since. This was by far one of the happiest moments in my life, I was getting a college diploma and it sure wasn’t cheap! It quickly changed into this big question, what do I do now? I had people around me who were getting 60k / 70k yearly salaries and I had nothing on the table, no clue what to do next except the idea of starting a podcast. It took me months to finally get in a rhythm where I didn’t feel so lost and things were slowly starting to come together. When I tell you the last two years have flown by, it’s been a blink of an eye and I haven’t regretted any of it.

For those who might be graduating college, congrats! You’ve been awarded the golden ticket. You’ve been preparing for this moment the past 21/22 years of your life. This is the time to take the leap, this is the time to do the things you love, this is the time to figure out who you’re and what you want to spend the rest of your life doing. Going against the grain and chasing a passion is not going to be easy, I can promise you that but if you don’t go for it now, when will you ever time to? Believe in yourself, believe you have the ability to accomplish these crazy ass goals because YOU have what it takes. The time is yours, now go do it.

Blake Pinsker is the director of brand for Mvmt (formerly known as Mvmt Watches). With a message from one of his childhood friends Jake Kassan, the CEO and co-founder of Mvmt, he began helping out in anyway that he could in 2013. Utilizing social media they grew the business from four guys in an apartment to a thirty-five person team that did approximately 70 million in sales in 2017.

Growing up in Valenica, CA he had both an older and younger sister. Although he always leaned more towards the creative activities he dedicated his life to sports such as basketball, football and some baseball. Even when Blake would mess up his parents were very supportive and understanding. With goals of being the GM of the New York Knicks or being a personality on ESPN, you could say he liked to dream big.

San Diego State University welcomed him with open arms and within two years Blake found his passion for marketing. Upon graduating and being told there was no money in that industry he jumped into real estate. Just as he was figuring out this career path was not meant for him he began working on Mvmt projects. He was passionate and determined to succeed and within time he would leave his real estate job to chase the dream with his friends. As of today Mvmt surpassed 1 million followers on Instagram, they continue to roll out different products such as bracelets, sunglasses and accessories but most importantly - they continue to reinvest in the brand.

In this episode Blake discusses why it’s not about being the best but being the one that wants it more, Mvmt’s tagline Live Life On Your Own Terms, importance of creating an experience that gets people to come back, making every second count, short term speed long term patience, we’re capable of anything and the importance of finding the right people.

Ash Katch is a content creator, vlogger and someone who loves to travel. She recently got back to the U.S. after helping out with the Rad Livin Festival in Sydney, Australia for the past couple months. With a goal to start her own business that operates sustainably, she wants to impact people but also help keep this Earth clean.

Born and raised in Fresno, CA she grew up in safe environment but felt it sheltered her from seeing what else was in the world. Serving as a leader on her cross country team in high school she was someone that people could look up to and she pushed everyone to their full potential including herself. She then went on to spend five years at Cal Poly State University and majored in Environmental Engineering.

After just three months in her first full-time career, not passionate with the work she was doing she decided to leave in pursuit of finding wanting to live her own daydream. People tried convincing her to stick with it for at least a year and being honest with the fact that life is short she listened to her gut anyways. She thinks most people try to fit the mold that they’re supposed to be in but in reality there is none, we’re all writing the script of our own story. Through her vlogs she documents her journey which has helped her stay true to herself.

In this episode Ash discusses what we can do today to help better the world, the biggest doubt she has in herself is wondering if she has what it takes, best lesson she’s learned from Gary Vee is being okay with failure, when you’ve found that “thing” it stops being about the end game but instead the process, suffocating your bullshit and living your day dream.

Nicki Andrea is a health, lifestyle and fashion vlogger. She’s all about body positivity and believes that we should love ourselves no matter our size, shape or color. As she continues to build her platform on social media she would someday like to start her own swimsuit line that fits everyone no matter their size.

Born and raised in Springfield, MA she enjoyed riding her bike, dancing and having magical powers as a kid. Her parents emigrated from Russia the year before she was born and some of those cultural lessons and  values heavily influenced her childhood. Wanting to be same size as some of her friends she started counting calories in 6th grade and by her senior year of high school she would skip out on events because she knew food would be there. This eating disorder would continue on through college at Umass Amherst but with time she became confident in the person she saw in the mirror.

With inspiration from watching YouTubers growing up she launched her own channel. She started putting up make-up and beauty videos and took a four year break from uploading while she was in college. Nikki realized that her story resonated with other people that were going through similar journeys in their life and so she is open and honest about her personal life with all the content that she uploads.

In this episode Nicki discusses there is beauty in the struggle of having to do things for yourself, even when people are rude to you treat them with kindness, dressing for your body builds confidence, positive affirmations remind us of all the good things we have in our life, not second guessing ourselves because we have what it takes and why comparing yourself to others will never help you.

You might know Drama from MTV’s Rob & Big or Fantasy Factory. Over the past decade he’s built a name for himself in the entertainment industry and along the way has grown into someone who wants to push himself forward as far as he can all the while showing people how to do it. Today he’s the CEO and founder of streetwear brand Young & Reckless, the host of Short Story Long podcast and a host on Group Chat.

Drama was raised in the small town of Coventry Township, Ohio alongside his older brother Scott. In high school he was somewhat antisocial, got B’s & C’s but was obsessed with skateboarding. With money he had from graduation, selling iPods and making a skate video he packed up and moved to Los Angeles with an opportunity to crash on his cousin’s couch who happen to be Rob Dyrdek. With his biggest dreams to live in SoCal and work at skateshop, Drama had no idea what the future had ahead of him and things were just getting started.

Over the next ten plus years he would go onto becoming a star. He was getting booked to do signings at stores, make club appearances and was fortunate to even treat himself to a new Lamborghini for his 26th birthday. Although having these “things” are great, along the journey he realized the true fulfillment came from positively helping people and seeing himself grow. His day-to-day routines include writing 5 things he’s most grateful for in his journal, meditating for 10 minutes, texting his mother and working on his fitness.

In this episode Drama discusses making a list of your goals & conquering them, taking risks go hand in hand with chasing after what you want, wanting to interview Kevin Hart, Richard Branson and Barack Obama, not realizing his full potential is what scares him the most, forcing yourself into situations you don’t want to be in and why humbleness is a necessity.

You might’ve seen Nikki Howard on the walls of Equinox Fitness or in an Old Spice commercial. She’s worked with Sprite, GMC, Lucky Brand, Xbox, Bose and American Express. Not only is she a model but she’s an actress and is slowly looking to step in the comedy world.

Born in New York and raised in Boca Raton, Florida, she’s a mix of Russian, Polish and Turkish which gives her a distinct look. In high school everyone knew her as the class clown and she joked around a lot, was on the dance team and worked at Starbucks. One of the biggest struggles she’s had to overcome was the death of her father who had committed suicide when she was a kid. What’s she's learned from this experience is that everyone has a story to tell.

Nikki went on to attend New York Conservatory For Dramatic Arts for two years and spent sometime in the city getting her name out there. She then moved out to LA where she now resides and is grateful for all the opportunities she’s had in the past. With her first stand up gig at Flappers Comedy Club not too long ago, she wants to continue to test and try comedy outlets and see where it takes her.

In this episode Nikki discusses how living in New York taught her how to hustle and make things happen for herself, getting up every morning at 4:50AM and hitting the gym is a must, being confident in yourself and not being afraid of “no’s”, we all want to be around people that make us feel good, finding ways to make a living doing the things you love to do and you won’t know the full story until you ask.

Chuck Herrera is the owner of Good People Coffee Co here in Los Angeles where they provide a high quality coffee served by staff who play an important role in making sure the customer experience is exceptional. Chuck not only wants to impact the people that come into his shop but even the farmers in the countries who supply him his coffee beans.

Born in East LA, he moved to the Inland Empire region of CA as child. He was surrounded by a younger sister and two parents who worked in the Real Estate industry. One of the best jobs he had growing up was working for a steel mill that made him work hard for his money which he enjoyed. A mix of hanging around with the wrong people and making bad decisions led him to having a felony arrest warrant on him for $50,000. After 5 weeks in jail he came out and knew he needed to change his life around.

Chuck went on to spend a full year out at a rehab center in the middle of the desert sobering up and trying to find himself. He went back to college at the The Art Institute and graduated with a Typography and Graphic Design degree which led him into freelancing for the majority of his career. Traveling to Africa twice in 2013 is when he realized he could use his passion for coffee to give back. People began to like the idea they were not only buying a cup of coffee but one that was positively helping the world.

In this episode Chuck discusses the process of making coffee & speciality drinks, helping his customers find that “thing” on his menu that they love, waking up every day ready to go, wanting to get people to be a little bit more honest with themselves, not giving up on yourself because you were created for so much more and the importance of surround yourself with good people.

Over the past decade Rhêtorík went from DJing college parties to traveling the world, performing at Madison Square Garden and even getting onto The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon working alongside recording artist Logic. Today he’s much more than just a DJ but an all around creative artist who wants to try it all.

Raised in Virginia Beach his parents taught him how important it was to be both unique and a good person. While in high school he ran for class office and enjoyed making comedic speeches in front of his school. He ended up spending four years at Virginia Tech jumping around to different majors and landed himself a non-paid internship at The Fader. By the time his graduation came he called his parents and said he was not going to be able attend the ceremony because he was heading on the road with Logic on his Welcome To Forever tour. From there, the rest is history.

In recent years he launched his YouTube vlog Off The Rhekord which gives his fans an unfiltered look at the behind the scenes of what is happening in his life. In October of 2017 he released his first song Shelter, that talked about being a nomad for 5 years and not spending more than 10 days consistently in any given city. What he’s most excited about for the future is putting out more of his music.

In this episode Rhêtorík discusses how both DJing for Mac Miller and attending South by Southwest for the first time changed his perspective, why he believes in the law of attraction, only commiting to things that have purpose to his life, as a creative your brain can go super high but equally super low, how being surrounded by both The Rattpack + the Beautiful Mind crew has helped him and why our differences are what makes us unique.

Nainoa Langer is a videographer who gets to travel the world and capture some breathtaking moments. Being raised in Moloaki, Hawaii, an island with 7,000 people on it he figured out early on that he wanted to experience more and always had the itch to see what else was out there. In order to get to where he is today it’s taken a bit of confidence, hard work and following his stoke.

Having no direction of what he wanted to do after high school he attended Honolulu Community College for three semesters pursuing welding. With an offer to work at a local hospital and make good money he decided to leave school and start a career. While on break from work in between his shifts he would go on hikes or cliff jumping with his friends, capture it with his GoPro and upload it to YouTube. After three years of doing something he truly did not enjoy, he quit with 0 plan as to what he was going to do next. From this moment going forward, his life took a turn and it was a good one.

Nainoa had the opportunity to shoot The Chainsmokers and meet one of his biggest inspirations, Rory Kramer. Sam Kolder who was really breaking waves on the internet creating travel vlogs invited him out to New York City to help out with a project for Beautiful Destinations. Within days of arriving to the city he was booked to go with the team outside of the country which was his first time leaving the U.S. Since then, he’s traveled to over 18+ different countries and works heavily with BD.

In this episode Nainoa discusses wanting to inspire people through his content, one of his favorite quotes “it’s better to live 30 years full of adventures than a 100 years safe in the corner” by Jim Rohn, it’s okay to not know what you’re doing because it’s all a process, love the highs and the lows because that’s part of the journey and why it’s important to follow your stoke.
