In today's PEP Talk, I discuss several ways to combat stress. While this is sometimes easier said than done, I talk about 11 tips that we all can use when dealing with high stress levels. I mention both physical things to do and mental strategies to apply in times of intense stress. I hope these tips serve their purpose and help someone out there to embrace their stress and pursue excellence.

Today on the PEP, I want to talk about what you can do on the days where you really don't want to get out of bed. At the end of the day, the underlying theme of this discussion is motivation: finding it and keeping it, no matter what time of day it is. We also touch on avoiding burnout, taking care of ourselves physically and mentally and approaching each day one task at a time. I hope you take something positive away from this episode while working toward pursuing excellence.

This week on the PEP, I wanted to talk about my thoughts and mindset regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak affecting the sport world. Specifically, I refer mostly to the NCAA and USAG event cancellations (and temporary suspension). To all the athletes who have lost their season and are dealing with high levels of uncertainty, I am here for you and I am so sorry you have to deal with this. However, I believe in the power of mental toughness, positivity, faith and community during crises such as this one. I hope this episode brings something positive.

This week on the PEP, I wanted to talk about one of the first questions I ask each of my athletes: "What is your sport story?" This question is important when it comes to not only getting to know my athletes, but it also allows for the athletes to reflect upon their past and present situation. I dive a little bit into my own "sport story" in order to explain a little more casually not only about my athletic experience and where I am today, but I aim to provide insight into how you have the power to write your own "sport story" or even "life story." After recording this, I realize that I left out a lot of details that are relevant to my sport story, so if you'd like me to talk about even more in future episodes, let me know.

Welcome to episode #1! In this episode I answer 20 questions that I picked from various "get to know me tag" websites, plus a bonus question that I have always wanted to talk about at the very end. My goal with this episode is to introduce myself in a casual way in order for you to get to know me a little better before getting into more serious topics and future episode content. Enjoy!
