A task team has been appointed to investigate the cause of a sulphur smell in part of Gauteng and the North West Province this past week. High levels of sulphur seem to have contributed to the smell and poor air quality.

A report by the SA Poultry Association shows that egg producers have been affected by an outbreak of avian flu. The report for the period January 2022- March 2022 shows that more than 320 000 broiler birds had to be culled as a result of the outbreak.
