It’s been 5 months since Russia invaded Ukraine. The conflict has seen thousands of Ukrainians and Russians perish, created millions of refugees, and has created immense global economic stress. Is there any possibility the war will end in the near future?

Global security expert Dr Reuben Steff from the University of Waikato believes the conflict won’t end before 2022. Dr Steff says with the war entering its third phase, as Ukraine receives new HIMAR rocket artillery systems, it’s unlikely peace will happen in the coming months.
