The Pretoria High Court will today make a decision on President Jacob Zuma's application to hault the Public Protector's "state capture" report. The case against a man and his wife, who allegedly abused their five children for more than a decade, resumed in the Pretoria High Court this week. The man and woman both pleaded not guilty to 20 charges, including attempted murder, child abuse and child neglect. The Association of Mine workers and Construction Union has secured a wage increment of one thousand rand for its members in all major platinum producing mines in the country. Lonmin, Impala and Anglo Platinum have struck a deal with Amcu, on increases in living out allowances, as well as retirement and provident funds, among others.
