KwaZulu-Natal Premier Willis Mchunu has formed a Commission of Inquiry to probe the root causes of political killings in the province. During the run up to this year's municipal elections, twenty politically-related killings were reported in the province - with the ANC the hardest hit. Government has revised the economic growth forecast for the year down from zero-point-nine percent to zero-point-five percent. Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan was presenting the 2016 Mid-term budget - also known as the 'mini budget' earlier yesterday.
