Thousands people in different parts of the world are expected to take part in different events ahead of COP21 climate summit this coming Monday. More than 2000 events are planned across 150 countries. According to 350.org, there will be huge marches, concerts, rallies, workshops, bike rides and film screenings spanning all continents. While the country is experiencing water shortage, a burst pipe in Howick in KwaZulu Natal province has allegedly been gushing kilolitres of water everyday for the last 17 years. Duzi uMgeni Conservation Trust member Liz Taylor, says this is due to poorly maintained infrastructure.

The country's persistent heat wave of maximum temperatures close to 40 degrees Celsius has caused a lot of harm in food production.
