The University of Cape Town (UCT) says multiple university stakeholders want the statue of Cecil John Rhodes to be taken down. Vice Chancellor, Max Price says he's been in discussions on the matter and most agree that the statue must be removed from is current location. Thandiswa Mawu reports....

Residents in the western German town of Haltern, were shocked after hearing that 16 local high students and two teachers who had just spent a week on a Spanish exchange program were on German-wings Flight 9525, which crashed yesterday morning, into the French Alps. The school group was among the 150 people on board the plane. Meanwhile aviation experts say it is too early to speculate on what could be the cause of the crash of the German wings plane, and that the focus right now should be assisting victims and their families.
