The water crisis in the city of Cape Town appears to be worsening. The levels of dams supplying the Mother City have dropped by 7 percentage points to 37.8 percent, of which only 27 percent of that water is usable. The City's Executive Mayor, Patricia de Lille joins us join the line for more.

Former Finance Minister and ANC MP Pravin Gordhan has rubbished claims that he has written the book by Jacques Pauw, "The President's Keepers". This comes after a publication Black Opinion, linked to Black First Land First, wrote an article that Gordhan wrote the book. The article revealed a picture showing how Gordhan was signing the autographs of books at Pauw's book launch last week. Our Parliamentary Correspondent Mercedes Besent reports.

Some Khoi and San groups have expressed mixed feelings about the recent passing of the Traditional and Khoisan Leadership Bill. The Khomani San in the Northern Cape welcomed the bill, while the Khoisan's Gorachoqua tribe in the Western Cape have rejected it. The special meeting of the ANC's top brass is set to resume this morning for a third and final day. The ANC NEC meeting, which started on Saturday in Irene, Pretoria, comes just five weeks ahead of the December elective conference. There were reports YESTERDAY that the closed door meeting was at one stage disrupted due to members not agreeing on the draft report presented by secretary general, Gwede Mantashe. Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba has deferred to the Presidency as he refused to weigh in on reports that President Jacob Zuma could announce free higher education for all in the country. Gigaba is leading a high-powered government delegation on a multi country investor roadshow that begins in New York and includes stops in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing and Singapore. Former CEO of the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA), Lucky Montana has come out strongly to cast aspersions on those who thought they will find what he calls 'the Guptas behind every PRASA transaction'. This follows revelations that Montana met with Rajesh Tony Gupta and Duduzane Zuma at former Transport Minister Ben Martins' ministerial home in Pretoria. In a statement, Montana says he is in fact the only CEO in the country who out-rightly rejected the Guptas from as far back as 2012.
