Former Higher Education deputy minister, Mduduzi Manana, who has pleaded guilty to assaulting three women at a Johannesburg night club in August, has offered to compensate the women, do community service and pay a 100-thousand rand fine. His lawyer, Michael Motsoeneng Bill, has also asked that Manana be sentenced to 12 months imprisonment wholly suspended for 5 years, on condition he does not commit a similar offence during that period.
