Gender-based violence expert at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Professor Shakila Singh, has encouraged society to expose men who use violence against women. This after activist, singer and former ANC parliamentarian, Jennifer Ferguson, spoke out about her alleged rape ordeal. Ferguson says the alleged rape took place at a hotel in Port Elizabeth almost 24 years ago with a well-known, senior South African football administrator. Ferguson has told SABC News, from her home in Sweden, that the global "Hashtag Me Too" campaign gave her the courage to expose her alleged rapist.
