The North West town of Delareyville is on lock down, following violent service delivery protests, that rocked the area since Monday. The community gave the municipality seven days to respond to their grievances which included amongst others, the provision of basic services such as water and electricity. Residents say they have tried on numerous occasions to bring their plight to the attention of the local council but to no avail.
