Gungubele joins a number of ANC MP's who have called for Zuma to step down. Members of the Health and Other Services Personnel Trade Union of South Africa (HOSPERSA) at national parks have embarked on a strike for higher wages. Workers on strike included rangers, field guides, cleaners and security guards. The strike was suspended last week after SA National Parks tabled a new offer of 6,1 percent. The City of Cape Town has approached courts to compel Energy Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi to grant it permission to buy the renewable energy. This comes after a three-year-battle between Kubayi and the city over the matter. The city has set a target to get at least 20 per cent of energy from renewable sources by 2020.
