Eastern Cape police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a case of intimidation following alleged death threats against two DA councillors in Port Elizabeth. The two Nelson Mandela metro councillors are Chief Whip of Council, Werner Senekal and Mayoral Committee Member for Roads and Transport Rano Kayser. ANC MP Makhosi Khoza says she is scared to accept security because those assigned to protect her may wish to harm her. She says she's getting advice on the implications of taking on government security. The security was offered last Friday and government says Khoza has yet to accept it. Adele van de Walt was reacting to accusations that retired Defence Force surgeon-general, Dr Veejay Ramlakan, broke doctor-patient confidentiality in his book, 'Mandela's Last Years'. Ramlakan's publisher, Penguin Random House, has withdrawn the book in the face of threatened legal action by Mandela's widow, Graca Machel.
