  • Three Years of Crazy: Family Karen's. ADHD Time, & CBD Disasters

It's our 3-year anniversary, y'all — and we're celebrating the only way we know how: yappin' about the crazy. Kila rolls in fired up about a "Karen" and we get into the big question — does everybody have one, or does crazy just attract crazy?

Ashley breaks down what she learned from ADHD 2.0 (turns out ADHD brains only know two times: "now" and "not now") and how it affects us all. Plus the Hibachi laugh attack that almost killed us on anniversary night, and a CBD horror story you have to hear to believe — Kristi's sweet daddy gave her 86-year-old Cherokee mama (Miss Sally) a tincture so strong she got on stage to pray for the Governor, looked at her notes, said "I don't know why I'm here or what I'm supposed to say," and walked off.

She's been telling everybody he tried to kill her ever since. Homework before next week: watch "The Crash" on Netflix — Keela's got inside intel and we're getting into it.

⚠️ Mature audiences. We talk about traumatic shit.

  • Delta 8, Drug-Induced Psychosis & a Wheelchair Bidding Spree

We're back after a month off — Kila had pneumonia (three shots, a round of steroids, and still wheezing), Ashley is deep in menopause hell, and Aniston's Mother's Day Photoshop of her mama as a 250-lb trailer-park queen with a brown-filter cigarette is officially the cover of Ashley's future memoir.

Then we get into the real reason we needed to record: Delta 8 and drug-induced psychosis. Kila's nephew Ethan has schizophrenia that gets triggered every single time he touches Delta 8 — selling it at gas stations with no shoes on, ending up in Clarksville, the works.

Ashley's been watching her late best friend's daughter spiral the same way: Snapchat threats, gang talk, "Indian burial ground" messages, a gun nobody can account for, and four hospital stays where the family can't get a scrap of information because she won't sign the release. We talk about why the 72-hour hold system is broken, why we need real long-term mental health housing back, and why this needs to be a PSA — Delta 8 and mental health meds do not mix. (Tennessee, get on Kratom too while you're at it.)

Then we lighten it up: Ashley confesses her A-Stock auction addiction — bidding $2 a pop on six wheelchairs, a walker, ramps, a catalytic converter for a '99 Grand Am, and a chandelier — and recording Hagen's face as she breaks the news. Plus a brutally honest review of her $250 Fun Delivered undelivered-mail mystery box (a hairball-relief cat med, vaginal probiotics, "Moore Mafia" hoodie, and a Starbucks glass bear that broke the next day).

Also: we're making money on the podcast now, Willa is talking in full sentences, and we're taking a short summer hiatus while gas is $4.29 — but we are not quitting.

Follow us on Facebook for the next drop date.

Don't do Delta 8 if you've got mental health issues. Love y'all. Bye, bitches.

On this episode of Raising Barbara Jean & Wanda, Ashley is holding it down without Kila — feel better, Kila! — and she's joined by her longtime friend Kay McNabb for a heartfelt, powerful conversation you do not want to miss.

Ashley and Kay have known each other since grade school in Centerville, TN, and this episode goes way beyond catching up. Kay shares her deeply personal story of walking through infertility, pregnancy loss, PCOS, ectopic pregnancies, fertility treatments, and finally becoming a mom after years of heartbreak and uncertainty.

In this episode, they talk about:

    • 💛 Growing up together in a small town and reconnecting later in life

    • ⚠️ Kay's infertility journey, including PCOS and multiple pregnancy losses

    • 🏥 The devastating reality of ectopic pregnancies and losing a fallopian tube

    • 📉 Being told she had only a 3% chance of getting pregnant naturally

    • 💸 The emotional and financial weight of considering IVF and fertility treatment

    • 🍼 The miracle of finally getting pregnant with her son Jack after nearly 10 years of marriage

    • 😭 What it felt like to hear a baby cry in the hospital and realize, "this is really happening for us"

    • real faith

  • We're Back! Danae Hayes at the Ryman, Hollywood Lizard People & Cassie's Going Away Party

We're back, y'all — and we didn't waste any time. Ashley and Kayla are fresh off a night at the Ryman catching Danae Hayes' stand-up show (meet and greet included), and they have thoughts.

From tin can phones for kids to Cassie's chaotic going-away party where the whole family finally ended up in the same room, this episode is everything you didn't know you needed.

The girls dive deep into Hollywood conspiracy theories — skin suits, 450-year-old actors, Cat Williams, and why wearing a dress on TV means more than you think. Plus: the Taylor Paul/Bachelorette drama, the Duggar mess, Nashville Electric getting vandalized after the storm, and how social media is giving real talent a shot without owing anyone anything.

Oh, and maybe it's fluoxetine. Maybe it's Maybelline.

    Either way, we love y'all.

On this episode of Raising Barbara Jean & Wanda, Kila and Ashley are back doing what they do best — talking about all the usual stuff, going off on wild tangents, laughing through life, and somehow getting real in the middle of all the chaos.

This one is hilarious, heartfelt, and all over the place in the best way as the ladies get into:

    • the random habits, reactions, and survival modes that make way more sense when you realize where they came from

  • 6-Year "Sisterversary" with Dixie

In this special episode of Raising Barbara Jean & Wanda, Kila and Ashley are celebrating something BIG — the 6-year anniversary of Kila and her sister Dixie finding each other. 🥹💛

It's their "sisterversary", and the vibes are emotional, hilarious, and very on-brand.

Dixie joins the show as they look back on:

    • 💌 How they first connected and the day Dixie found Kila

    • 🗓️ Why it feels like it's been both a lifetime and "only three years"

    • 💬 How quickly "strangers" became family, group chats, inside jokes, and all

Of course, it wouldn't be an RBJ&W episode without some chaos and side quests:

    • 🚐 Dixie's RV Life – moving out of the house and into the RV, adjusting with two big dogs, and figuring out what "home" looks like now

    • 🌪️ Storm Panic & Power Outages – Kila prepping for the worst with firewood and backup plans, realizing she actually has gas heat, and talking about folks who went 11 days without power

    • 💇‍♀️ Julie's Hair vs Todd's Chick-fil-A – the ongoing saga of poor Julie not getting her hair colored while Todd is out here living his best life eating Chick-fil-A weekly

    • 🥴 "Do you need a kidney or something?" – when Dixie suddenly wants to come stay with them for a month, the girls jokingly question her motives in true sister fashion

Underneath all the laughter and nonsense is something really beautiful:

This episode is about chosen family, late-in-life siblings, and what it means when someone goes from a stranger… to "my people" in just a few years.

    If you love:

    • Real-life reunion stories

    • Sister banter

    • Southern chaos and storytelling

    • Tangents about weather, RVs, hair, food, and everything in between

    …you're gonna love this one.

  • Caught in the Con Part 4: Daniel Martin Warrants, New Victims w/ Jessica Reynolds & Jason Bennett

The Daniel Martin saga just keeps getting wilder. In this latest episode of Raising Barbara Jean & Wanda, Kila and Ashley are joined once again by Jessica Reynolds and Jason Bennett for another jaw-dropping update on one of Middle Tennessee's most notorious con men.

Jessica — who's now taken her story to the news — walks everyone through the latest developments, while Jason helps break down the legal side of this ever-growing mess. From civil judgments to criminal warrants, this episode is packed with details that sound like a movie… but sadly, it's all real.

    Here's what they get into:

    🧾 Million-Dollar Judgment & Prior Victims

They revisit one of Daniel's earlier victims — a woman who invested around $300,000 and won a $1.3 million judgment against him for fraud, theft, and emotional damage. Even though she never saw the money, that judgment proved what he was doing long before Jessica's story began.

🏕️ The Camper, the Harley & the Lies

Jessica shares more about how Daniel moved her and her kids into a camper she later learned wasn't even his. On top of that, there's the Harley he swore he was making payments on — right up until someone knocked on Jessica's door looking for it. She's got ring camera footage of the guy coming to repossess it, and it's just one small piece of a much bigger scam trail.

⚖️ Warrants, Court Dates & Extradition Talk

    Jason breaks down:

    • How multiple counties and states (including McMinnville, Shelbyville, and Kentucky) are now involved

    • The difference between civil judgments, arrest warrants, and bench warrants

    • How and why law enforcement sometimes can't find someone who keeps moving and using different addresses

    • Why it's so important that every victim files a report, even if they don't think anything will happen

They talk about how at one point, law enforcement literally couldn't find him to serve him, and how he finally got picked up coming back through customs in Miami after a Mexico trip.

💔 More Women, More States, Same Pattern

Jessica shares that she is STILL getting messages from women across multiple states — Tennessee, Kentucky, and beyond — who are dealing with the same man, the same lies, and the same financial and emotional damage.

    They talk about:

    • How he isolates women

    • How he love bombs, lies, and then drains everything

    • Why so many women feel embarrassed or ashamed and don't want to come forward

And most importantly, they stress this: IT. IS. NOT. YOUR. FAULT.

💬 A Message to Anyone Affected

This episode isn't just about the drama — it's about helping people:

    • Encouraging victims to document everything

    • File police reports, small claims, or civil suits where possible

    • Understand that even if they never see the money, having paper trails and records can stop people like this from hurting more people

As always, Kila and Ashley bring their signature mix of humor, outrage, and heart, reacting in real time to some of Jason and Jessica's latest updates and stories.

If you've been following the Daniel Martin story, are into true crime meets real life, or just want to hear how women are standing up, speaking out, and trying to stop a serial conman — this episode is a must-listen.

🎧 Listen on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and all major platforms.

👉 Please share this episode, especially if you're in Middle Tennessee or know someone who might have crossed paths with Daniel Martin. The more eyes and ears on this, the better chance there is of getting justice for everyone he's hurt.

  • Paranormal TikTok & Daniel Martin Warrants: Spirit Boxes, Book Talk & Calling Out a Con Man

On this episode of Raising Barbara Jean & Wanda, Ashley and Kila are back with a mix of true crime chaos, personal growth, and their signature unfiltered storytelling.

    First up:

🕵️‍♀️ The Latest on Daniel Martin

If you've been following the Daniel Martin saga, you know this dude is a full-blown con man with a trail of wreckage behind him. The ladies dig into:

    • What they've found digging through public records

    • How arrest warrants generally don't expire and can remain active indefinitely

    • The absolutely ridiculous claim he made involving Jerry Jones (yes, the Dallas Cowboys' Jerry Jones)

    • Why they're honestly surprised Jerry hasn't hit him with a defamation of character lawsuit

They also talk about how Jessica is still getting messages from people all over the place who've crossed paths with Daniel, and how truly insane and disturbing the pattern is.

Then the episode takes a more personal and powerful turn:

📖 Ashley Is Writing Her Memoir

Ashley opens up about starting to write her own story—not just about Daniel, but about her life, everything she's been through, and the person she's become through it all.

    She shares:

    • How it feels to finally put her life on paper

    • Why her first draft felt like a "4.7 out of 10"

    • The balance between being honest, being vulnerable, and not sugarcoating anything

    • The healing (and heaviness) that comes with revisiting old wounds and turning them into something meaningful

Throughout the episode, Kila and Ashley also touch on:

    • The importance of sticking to facts when talking about real people and real situations

    • Advice from their lawyer on how to protect themselves while still telling the truth

    • Using humor, honesty, and community to work through trauma

And because it wouldn't be Raising Barbara Jean & Wanda without it, you'll also get:

    • Jail and courtroom side stories

    • Dark humor in all the right (and wrong) places

    • The ongoing reminder:

👉 "We can talk shit about our mammas, but nobody else can."

If you're into real-life scam stories, women taking their power back, and raw, hilarious, honest conversation, this episode is absolutely for you.

    • Why Elf on the Shelf is a personal attack on moms

    • How nobody warned them they needed to shove wire inside the elves to make them pose

🏰 Disney vs Universal & The Big Trip Reveal The kids' big Christmas surprise?

A trip to Disney and/or Universal. Kila and Ashley break down:

    • Universal vs Disney – which is better for teens, big kids, and chaos

    • The pressure of giving your kids "magical memories" while your bank account is screaming • How different it feels raising kids now vs growing up on layaway and one big tree gift

💸 "Y'all Are Rich" – When Kids See Your Life Differently The funniest moment?

A little cousin comes over, sees the pool, stairs, and TVs and declares: "I want to live here. Y'all are RICH."

Meanwhile, Kila and Ashley are like, "We're just tired and on payment plans."

    They talk about:

    • How kids define being "rich"

    • The weird guilt of doing better than how you grew up

    • Remembering that what feels normal now would've felt like luxury back then

🧹 Officially Old & Loving It They also confess their favorite gifts this year were:

    • A fancy green carpet shampooer

    • A heat gun

    • And a pink mini fridge

If cleaning gadgets and home stuff excite you more than jewelry at this point—you're in the right place. This episode is funny, honest, and the perfect New Year kickoff for anyone trying to juggle kids, money, expectations, and a little bit of magic (with a lot of sarcasm).
