One of the greatest artists to ever personify the genre known as "Heartland Rock", John Mellencamp's career has spanned almost FIVE decades.  From his start in 1976 to the mainstream success of "Scarecrow" and Farm Aid in 1985 to a Broadway musical happening this year, you can't ever say he doesn't take things easy.  Add some music awards and an induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2008) and you can understand why he's one of the greatest American poets in rock music.  What was supposed to be a 2-part episode is now going to be an EXTENDED episode counting down from the worst to best the discography of John Mellencamp (Cougars included.  :P).  Whether you live in a "Small Town" or not, tune in.  BC will have you "R.O.C.K. in the USA" til it "Hurts so Good" by episode's end.

25 YEARS AGO: An internet publication dedicated to music (some mainstream, most out of the ordinary) debuted (First posted review: "Pacer", the sole album from Kim Deal's long-forgotten band The Amps. This scored an 8.2.).  Nearly 30,000 reviews later, Pitchfork has had many dances with controversy and snarky humor that has both amused and angered readers over the years.  But they VERY RARELY gave out a perfect 10 rating since coming online in 1996.  You'd be very surprised what albums NEVER got a 10.  In 25 years of reviews, only ELEVEN albums got a perfect 10.  Some deserved.  Others, not so much.  Tune in this week when B.C.  ranks from worst to best the albums Pitchfork 10'd.  You'll find out which ones earned it and which ones... are up for debate!

On April 9, 2021, the music world suffered a tragic loss in the form of rapper Earl Simmons, aka Dark Man X, aka DMX, who passed away at the young age of 50.  A troubled life since youth, he left behind a legacy of rap that was taken to a whole new level in his short but solid career.  From the landmark debut "It's Dark and Hell Is Hot" to this year's posthumous release "Exodus", tune in as DMX's discography is ranked from least to most favorite.  Time to reflect as this week, C Gon' Give It To Ya!  ;)

As Pride month comes to a close, I have decided to not only to give my list of 10 LGBTQ artists that I have found myself listening to throughout my life, but I have also chosen to be openly honest about myself during the course of this episode. This was a tough struggle for the majority of my life and I wondered when was a good time to talk about this. But it's 2021 and with current events and environments, now more than an ever is a good time!  So sit back, relax, and you may learn something!  ;)

This week, I review and rank the discography of Philadelphia based group The Roots.  Formed by Questlove and Black Thought in 1987, this band has fused jazz and rap and won over critics and listeners alike since their debut album in 1993.  With 11 albums under their belt, which one will rank at the top? It's so hard to believe that Randumb Albumb Rankings has been around for ONE WHOLE YEAR!  Thank you so much for still listening as it's been a very fun ride since June 1st of last year with my first episode dedicated to Radiohead.  One year later I went from a nervous newbie podcaster to... a STILL nervous podcaster with a little more experience.  LOL  So expect at least a small clip of Episode One at the beginning of the show.

One Hit Wonders are a yearly occurrence in music for a long time now.  One week, you have a big hit.  Next week, you're no longer on radio.  Contrary to popular belief, even COUNTRY MUSIC has had its' share of One Hit Wonders.  This week's episode tackles my top 10 favorite one hit wonders in Country Music (in my ever so humble opinion).  You'd be surprised who makes my list.  At the same time, you may also think "HEY!
