Despite all my rage against this band lately (Mostly towards William Patrick Corgan), a ranking was bound to happen at some point... which I guess makes me the rat in a cage, eh?  While I think Corgan at times comes off as a supermassive egomaniac, The Pumpkins early works are still some of the best to come out of the 90s in the time of grunge and alternative rock.  While I may have given away my picks for the top spots, I encourage you to take a listen and see if my rankings match up with yours.  

NEW YEAR! NEW SEASON! NEW LISTS!  This week, Randumb's 3rd season kicks off with one of biggest names in metal and prog-rock, the Los Angeles based band Tool.  With Maynard James Keenan and crew going on their first tour since the pandemic started (and not to mention Maynard's recent health issues), I felt it was the right thing to do by starting off the new season with their discography... with a SLIGHT twist!  What twist, you ask?  Tune in to find out.  With a new season, comes new rules!

With Super Bowl happening this weekend, I felt this week was time to dust off the microphone and announce (figuratively speaking) my Top 10 songs that I have heard at sporting events, be it live or on TV. Whether you're rooting for the Bengals or Rams this year, or only care about the Halftime Show this year, we can all agree that sports and music go well together.  So you grab the pizza, wings and beer while I grab the... um... list of songs and maybe I'll remember to bring chips and dip.  :D  SPORTSBALL!!!

This past week, the music industry suffered a big tragedy as Michael Nesmith, famous for his time in beloved 60's band The Monkees, passed away at the age of 78.  Nesmith was more than just a tall Texan in a wool hat in the world's first boy band.  He was a damn pioneer in the music industry.  He helped his band get complete freedom to record an album where they wrote their own tunes and played their own instruments.  He was also a big name in Country Rock in the early 70s inspiring acts from The Eagles to the Flying Burrito Brothers.  AND he was one of the people responsible for the concept of MTV as he created the idea of a 'Video Album' and so many more accomplishments.  This week's SPECIAL episode will tackle all that as well as my ten favorite songs that I feel epitomizes Nesmith's career.  This list not only tackles Monkees tunes that he wrote, but also his solo career and other high-profile artists during that era.  Join me, B.C., in a very poignant episode as we pay tribute to the one of the most unappreciated songwriters in rock and country history.  RIP Mike Nesmith. In the past 2 seasons, I realized I made some big mistakes on some episodes or jumped the gun on posting an episode.  Examples include not including a new album that dropped or not realizing an artist/band had an album readily available that I thought was out-of-print.  With that said, this episode will clean up a couple lists that missed an item or needed to be tweaked to show a change of heart on certain albums.  The acts included on this episode tackle: Third Eye Blind, Nonpoint, and some updates to a couple bonus episodes I did this season.  Also, I will announce when the 2021 Best/Worst episodes will be dropping on here.  Hope enjoyed the time to catch-up on episodes you missed, because I'm back to help us all close out this really interesting year!
