On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is here to break down the Panthers' 5-3 loss against the New York Rangers, where the Panthers had a two goal lead with less than five minutes left in the second, and then surrendered four unanswered goals to officially end their chances of getting home-ice in round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Sam Reinhart lit the lamp twice and Carter Verhaeghe is once again a 20-goal scorer after struggling mightily this season. Dmitry Kulikov and Sam Bennett made their returns to the lineup, while the entire Lundell line along with Mackie Samoskevich got the rest on Monday. Lost board battles and losing the puck in the neutral zone had the Rangers getting high quality chances on Sergei Bobrovsky, and the Rangers' fourth line was the line of the night at 5-on-5 crashing the net. Once the Rangers took the lead with a short handed goal, the Panthers had a hard time establishing their games, and even made some decisions in the pursuit of not overtaxing guys as the playoffs are now four days away. Panthers have one regular season game remaining in Tampa Bay, but Tuesday is about coming out unscathed now, especially with Nico Sturm taking a puck to the forearm and being slow to get up towards the end of the game on Monday.
