The devil is known as the accuser of the brethren. Today on Maranatha radio, pastor Ray Bentley points out how to deal with his accusations. Is it your first instinct when somebody accuses you, you want to defend? But that's not the way to work with the devil. There is a real problem because when he makes an accusation, he's right. We're guilty. But I stand pleading the blood of Jesus Christ who washes me as white as snow, as white as wool.
Running this race for Christ can be an exhausting experience. Today on Maranatha Radio. Pastor Ray Bentley says, take heart. Have you ever said these words, Lord, I can't take it. And I just can't do it. I quit. If you've ever felt that the Lord is right next to you. Saying, that's what I've been waiting for. The only hope that you have is that I live in you. And I live and relive my life through you. That's the gospel
When we face trials, when we face persecution, when we face disillusionment. Pastor Ray Bentley says the Lord will meet our need to the Palsied man tormented with his physical ailment, Jesus said, be of good cheer. Cheer up. To the woman who had suffered years of a bleeding hemorrhage. Jesus first words to her were cheer up, daughter! To the disciples in the midst of a storm where they thought they would die. Cheer up. I am with you.
From the testimony of the Apostle Paul today, pastor Ray Bentley shows us God's will may not be what we think it is. His will is that we know him. We think the will of God is some itinerary. It's a list on a bulletin. And if only some pastor would lay it out and explain it. Give me a checklist and I'll do it. And God says, That's not my will. My will is that you see me. My will is that you made me.
How can we share our faith most effectively? Pastor Ray Bentley says it isn't about debating more effectively. It's about telling our own story of what Jesus has done for us. When you share your personal testimony, not one argument is given. Why? Nobody can argue with what you saw, what you heard, what happened to you. So the question then that I want to ask all of us is, do you have a testimony spread?
pastor Ray Bentley reinforces one of the greatest promises in the Bible. My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus all. But there is also a promise to that promise, and that is this. You have to trust him. And the more you trust God, the more God is able to meet your needs spread.
Christians are often called believers. Belief is a pivot point of Christianity. But pastor Ray Bentley says our belief must be discerning. There are some that say it doesn't matter what you believe, as long as you believe. That flies in the face of what the New Testament says and tells us. The Bible doesn't just say believe. The Bible says it's important what you believe, what you will follow, and you're going to be guided by the Word of God.
The Christian life is one of self-sacrifice. But pastor Ray Bentley points out today it's willing sacrifice motivated by love. Most people, when I say the word servant to you, what do you think of? Probably think of somebody that does something because they have to do it or they're forced to do it. Jesus said, not so. He said, the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is what the servant of all love is by serving.
For some, happiness is tied to the happenings around them. Pastor Ray Bentley says believers have an enjoyment of life, independent of that joy. For a Christian is a choice. You choose to rejoice regardless of the pressure, regardless of the circumstances. You choose to trust in the Lord. To smile in his presence and to rejoice in him spreading. You see all of his people coming down before the King.
You and I are already victors in spiritual battle. Pastor Ray Bentley says, just look at first John chapter four, verse four. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them. Because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. How many of you would agree with me that knowing the outcome of a battle before it happens, and that you're going to win, makes you more than a conqueror?
