In the Book of Acts, Peter addressed the Jews and pointed out how God forgive sins, even the killing of his own son. Pastor Ray Bentley says that message applies to us as well. And I think that what Peter is saying here is that, look, even though you are the murderers of the Messiah, having committed the greatest crime in history, you can be made as white, as snow, as white, as well as though you had never sinned.
ome call it lifestyle evangelism. Pastor Ray Bentley says it's when others see what Christ has done for us, and they want it for themselves. The most powerful way that we can preach the gospel is by the changed lives that we demonstrate before others. Would you agree with that? And I suggest to you that in many ways, it has been well said.
Today, pastor Ray Bentley says, as believers, we're to show the world what Jesus looks like. Now I have pictures of my wife, and I have pictures of my children in my office and at my home, like you do. It is not my son. It is not my daughter. It's not my wife. But it's an image of them. And that's what God has done with you and I, is that you and I are to be the image of God, or were to be like Jesus Christ spread.
Biblical insights on what it really means to walk with God. From pastor Ray Bentley today on Maranatha Radio. Walking with God implies freedom. That you are free to be the man that God meant you to be. And I say this with all the honesty and sincerity you and I will never be happy in this world until we begin to become the man or the woman God meant for us to be.
Pastor Ray Bentley says Jesus showed how self-sacrifice should undergird the family of God for the benefit of others and ourselves. Greater love hath no man than this, than that he laid down his life for his friends. Jesus did that. Yes, because he is Messiah and He is God, but he is also a model for the new man created in the Church of God, filled with his spirit.
What makes a successful, productive church. Today on Maranatha Radio, pastor Ray Bentley takes us to the Bible for the answer. The true mark of a church is not the beauty of its sanctuary. The height of its steeple, the beauty of its stained glass windows, but the true mark of a spirit filled church is is there the apostles doctrine of bringing Jesus the word made flesh among the people, spread you see all of his people coming down before the King.
Pastor Ray Bentley says when Jesus died, it wasn't a plan gone awry, and when he rose again, it confirmed God's intention. The cross was no accident and the resurrection proves it. The resurrection proves Jesus was God's chosen one. And every Sunday is Easter. Every Sunday is the Lord's Day. Every Sunday is a reminder that Jesus is risen indeed, spreading.
In acts chapter two, pastor Ray Bentley points out Peter's declaration on the day of Pentecost that Jesus the Messiah, has come and Peter is here saying to the Jews, look, for centuries we have waited and waited for the day of the Lord, the day when God would intervene into human history. And Peter says, I'm telling you that that day has come.
Are you pursuing? Do the things of God or worldly things sometimes distract you? Pastor Ray Bentley passed along this counsel. What I believe the spirit is saying to the church today is, Why do you continue to settle for the cheap, tarnished imitations when you can have the real McCoy, the real joy, the real peace, the real power, the real experience, the real wine of the Spirit of God spread.
When we accept Christ, we enter into a relationship with him. And pastor Ray Bentley says that should bring profound change to our lives. The will of God is to experience a living relationship. And my question is, if we really, truly believe that, how can we as human beings open our hearts and invite the creator of life and the universe into our lives and not experience something different?
