Pastor Ray Bentley points out, believers are to reflect the light of Christ through the end times, and until the real light arrives, we continue to shine like stars until the Lord comes. And on that day, there will be no question. His brightness will be seven times the brightness of the sun. All they will be able to see is the glory of the Lord.
Today, pastor Ray Bentley digs into Bible prophecy for a look at what's ahead for planet Earth. Is the world getting better, or is the world getting worse as it grows older? And there are two main schools of thought. One that says that the world is getting better and better and better. Then others say no way.
God is sovereign, and he controls everything. Yet man has free will. Pastor Ray Bentley says the two can harmonize. God allows men and women to do as they freely will at the same time, while allowing them that freedom of choice and will, exercising control over circumstances, events, and history so that in the end, God's will is what is done.
Words are powerful tools. Pastor Ray Bentley says, most importantly, they convey truth from God to man. In the end of the day, this is all that will remain is what God has said. So there's something powerful about words that you can stand on. You can stake your life on it. It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word.
Pastor Ray Bentley points out how the Christian life is a challenging journey that reveals how God supplies his grace on demand. Somebody, well, describe to me the Christian life until we get to heaven. You live the Christian life from trench to trench. And as you make that effort from where I am now to the next trench, it's amazing.
As sure as there's a visible world, there's an invisible world, a spiritual world. And pastor Ray Bentley says the two are more connected than you may realize. Angels and humans are both involved in the same conflict with the same enemies. What you see first in the natural is a reflection of what's happening in the spiritual. We're in the midst of a cosmic conflict right now, spreading.
Today, pastor Ray Bentley points out, it's important to seek the Lord, especially at those times when we don't feel like it. God is saying, I want you to seek me, and it's not going to be easy. You're going to have to. It's going to boggle your mind. It's going to wrap you up emotionally, sometimes into a knot. But I don't want you to stop, for you will find me when you seek me.
Does life ever get tough for you? Pastor Ray Bentley says it's possible that God's way of getting your attention is. Our God, behold, is a jealous God. And because God loves you, God is working. Kind of like manipulating your circumstances in such a way that you are comfortable. If you seek anything else more than you seek him because he loves you too much.
Today, pastor Ray Bentley reminds us there's one spot on Earth that's the epicenter of God's end times plan. What's interesting to me is that all the nations of the earth that are wrestling over the modern problems and war and terror and religion and all the rest, it all comes down to that one mountain where Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead.
Pastor Ray Bentley explains why Mount Zion and Jerusalem are so significant in Bible prophecy on that mount. God's only begotten Son was crucified, and that's where his son rose from the dead. And that is the mountain upon which his son will sit as king over the whole earth. That city means everything to the father. Spread. You see all of his people coming down before the king.
