Some doubt how much stock we can place in the prophecies of the Bible. Pastor Ray Bentley points out some facts today, two thirds of the Bible is prophetic, and most of the prophecies in the Bible have already taken place. There is just a sliver left that is yet to come, and I believe that we are living in the days that we will see those last few prophecies come to pass.
Daniel survived the lion's den. Pastor Ray Bentley shed some light on just why that may have happened. Those were hungry, snarling lions. So why didn't they eat Daniel? Because the angel of the Lord. The lion of the tribe of Judah. He looked at all those lions, hungry as they were. They said, I think we'll fast and pray tonight, too, as long as you seek the Lord and walk with him, you've got a bigger lion.
Judgment delayed isn't judgment denied? Today, pastor Ray Bentley points out, we must know our sins will eventually find us out. As the Bible says, we reap what we sow. And God in his graciousness sometimes allows us to go for a while in our sins, hoping that we will repent. Sometimes we interpret that hey, so I'm drinking, so I'm being immoral and nothing's happening to me.
Seeing the handwriting on the wall. Pastor Ray Bentley points out that imagery relates to an Old Testament king. Belshazzar is seeing the finger of God and the Ten Commandments. We read and God wrote with his finger the Ten Commandments in the Gospels. What does Jesus do? He kneels down and he starts writing with his finger in the dust.
Pastor Ray Bentley says we should be encouraged by the fact that our sovereign God is in control of our lives. Not only is he on the throne in what's happening in the Middle East, and not only is he on the throne from what's happening in Washington and London and Tokyo and wherever else. But more importantly for you, God is totally, absolutely on the throne in every area and detail of your life.
oday, pastor Ray Bentley shows us how God stepped in to foil a death sentence imposed by King Nebuchadnezzar. And he commanded certain mighty men of valor who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and cast them into the burning fiery furnace. The hair of their head was not singed, nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire is not on them.
A weak swordsman with a sharp sword can still make his point today on Maranatha Radio. Pastor Ray Bentley has advice for those using the sword of the Spirit. Whenever you share the Word of God, even if you just quote a Scripture. Speak as though you are speaking the oracles of God. Because literally when you quote the Bible, you are speaking forth the Word of God. The power is not in you. The power is in what God has said.
From the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar. Pastor Ray Bentley says the interpretation speaks to us down through the corridors of time. Here's this king. He has this dream, the troubling dream. First, Daniel wants to point out that the paganism of Babylon and all pagan religions were worthless. Only the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob exists. And only Yahweh can help; He is the only one
When Jerusalem changed hands in 1967, pastor Ray Bentley says, we entered into a significant era on God's prophetic calendar and this tiny little place for the first time in 2700 years. The Jewish people came into control, the city of Jerusalem, and we are now living in a new time where God is restoring. He is rebuilding to rule over all the nations of the earth. He will be doing it from the city of Jerusalem.
Pastor Ray Bentley says The Book of Daniel is an interesting study of how God works through men to accomplish his sovereign plan. Daniel is especially interesting because it shows how God works miraculously by entering the deepest thoughts of believers as well as unbelievers. How he enters into the hearts of both believers and unbelievers, and even into their plans, thus altering history.
