In answering our prayers. God either tells us yes. No or wait. Pastor Ray Bentley says that last one can be frustrating. I don't like to wait for anything. I can go to the microwave. I don't even want to wait 30s for my burrito to heat up. I want it to be right now. Our flesh hates to wait. And yet, having said that, may I say that sometimes waiting is the most spiritual thing you can do.
We must view the scriptures as authoritative. It's the best-selling publication of all time. The Bible is 66 books, all inspired by God himself. But today, pastor Ray Bentley points out, we each have to decide if we want to put its wisdom to work in our lives. Someone once put it this way. God said it, I believe it. And that settles it. How do you like that spread?
Pastor Ray Bentley explains the important role of faith in the Lord, and also faith in our fellow believers. Billy Graham once said, church goers are like coals in a fire. When they cling together, they keep the flame aglow. When they separate, they die out, and therefore the message of Acts chapter one is that since Christ has ascended, we need also to have faith in one another.
Jesus has been preparing our eternal home since he ascended into heaven. Today, pastor Ray Bentley puts that in perspective. God created all that we see in six miraculous days, and I am imagining now. Jesus said, so I'm going to prepare a place for you. When it's finished, I'll come back. He hasn't come back for 2000 years. How exciting!
Jesus wants us to be witnesses for him to all the world. Coming up today, pastor Ray Bentley explains just what that means. Notice that Jesus said, You shall be witnesses. He didn't say, Go out and do witnessing. Big difference. A witness, in other words, is something that you are. It's not just what you say. And the old saying goes. Actions speak louder than words. Is that not true?
Today, pastor Ray Bentley explains why we sometimes feel homesick even when we're at home. This is not your real home. You don't belong here. So in the meantime that I'm a wanderer down here in this alien fallen world, Jesus said, here's what you're going to need between the kingdom that's within. And until it's manifest without, you're going to need the empowering of the Holy Spirit to get you through.
Was the resurrection a hoax? Pastor Ray Bentley says it's doubtful the disciples would have died defending a hoax. All of the disciples died violent deaths, stating that Jesus had risen from the dead. And when asked, How do you know that this is true? They said, Because I've seen him with my own eyes, touched him with my own hands. And I'm telling you, the very same one that was crucified.
Jesus wants to reach out to those in need. But today on Maranatha Radio, pastor Ray Bentley explains how he would really like our help to get the job done. Jesus physically is in heaven, but his heart is still moved with compassion. He still wants to heal the sick. He wants to preach the gospel. He wants to reach out to the poor and the oppressed. But how is he going to do it? That's what the Book of Acts is about.
The events of the Great Tribulation will be cataclysmic, unlike anything the world has ever seen. Pastor Ray Bentley says they'll seem to ramp up with no end in sight. It is going to take God to stop the destruction and annihilation of every last living person on the earth. And trust me, if there is no God and if there is no deliverance at the end, we're all in a lot of trouble.
Do you have some questions about what's coming during the last days? Today, pastor Ray Bentley advises us to lean on what we do know. We know that we will rise in the last days just like Jesus. So keep doing good. If you don't have everything figured out. Stay seeking the Lord. If you don't have all the details put together.
