Dom leads off the second hour of today’s show by picking up the conversation centered on the push to add women to the military draft. Dom takes callers, including a woman who was a voluntary service member, who asks why this is even a topic of discussion in the political realm. Giordano explains that this is a purely political move, mostly because a mandatory draft is not even on the radar. Then, Giordano welcomes famed Philadelphia sportswriter Ray Didinger to the show. Every week, Didinger joins the Program to run down the most recent Eagles game. This week, Didinger and Giordano recap yesterday’s win over the Jets, with the most pressing topic becoming a new QB controversy bubbling after a great outing by backup quarterback Gardner Minshew. Ray offers his thoughts on the controversy, discussing whether Minshew should retain the starting job once Hurts is healthy enough to play in the eyes of the front office. Didinger explains that he thinks the Philadelphia fan base should take a few breaths before charging full bore toward another controversy, after seeing how a similar debate tore apart the Wentz and Foles locker room. Then, Giordano asks about the Eagles receiving options with Dallas Goedert emerging as a true weapon, and Ray and Dom debate whether Hurts could gain anything from Minshew’s fruitful appearance.
