🔥 In this video we get completely roasted by our own awful Premier League predictions 2024/25!
Watch Zac, Ben and Henry laugh at each other’s crazy guesses for the manager sack race, surprise overachievers, embarrassing flops, breakout stars and more.
Sit back and enjoy as we break down each category and see who (if anyone) comes close to being right!
- Sack Race: We all piled on big names – Nottingham Forest's Nuno Espirito Santo and Southampton’s Russell Martin were unanimous choices. Henry and Zac even added Manchester United’s Erik ten Hag, and Pat threw in Leicester’s Steve Cooper, mirroring media chatter that those bosses could be the season’s first casualties.
- Overachievers (and Flops): On the flip side, Zac and Pat hailed Everton (and Zac also named Crystal Palace) as surprise overachievers, while Henry tipped Ipswich Town as a breakout story.
- Underperformers: We tagged Manchester United and Chelsea as the biggest disappointments. And it turns out the stats back us – United truly flopped early (just 12 points from 10 games, their worst start ever) and Chelsea’s expensive summer haul only managed 9 goals in five games, making both prime “underachiever” candidates.
- Breakout Stars: We picked some real sleepers. Zac’s shout was Spurs wonderkid Lucas Bergvall; Pat backed Newcastle’s new winger Yankuba Minteh; and Henry went big with ValentĂn Barco, Amad Diallo, Harry Amass, and Bournemouth’s teenage centre-back Dean Huijsen.
- Most Improved: We picked players and teams expected to level up. Zac’s pick Bryan Mbeumo exemplified it. Henry teased Darwin Núñez. And Pat cheekily named West Ham as a whole.
- Best Signings: These are the new players we thought would shine. Zac went with West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville. Pat backed Jesper Lindstrøm to make a splash at Everton, and Henry picked Fulham and ex-Arsenal youngster Emile Smith Rowe.
- Worst Signings: Here we named the summer’s most overpaid duds. Zac went with Ipswich’s Liam Delap, Henry unloaded on Chelsea’s flop fest (overspending with little to show), plus Newcastle’s Elliot Anderson. With that in mind, a handful of those big-money signings really did become easy pickings for “worst signing.” - Premier League Table Predictions: Finally, we revisit our title and relegation bets.
