Dom Giordano, WPHT host and former teacher, has dedicated much of his daily show toward parents who are taking it into their own hands to push back against school boards that have a negative impact on their children. This has culminated in a weekly podcast on education, Readin', Writin', and Reason, which has allowed wonderful relationships to develop between Giordano, educators, and parents throughout the country who are speaking out against overbearing school boards.
First, Dom welcomes Dr. Marty Makary, Johns Hopkins professor and author of The Price We Pay: What Broke American Healthcare and How to Fix It, back onto the podcast to discuss the effects of the vaccine on pregnant women and the unreported power of natural immunity. Recently, Marty was published in the Wall Street Journal discussing the high cost and negative impact of suppressing and disparaging natural immunity’s role in pulling society out of the Coronavirus pandemic. Also, Marty tells why he’s against the new film Cocaine Bear’s glorification of the drug, and explains why the spill in East Palestine worries him deeply.
Then, Dom welcomes in Dr. Joel Fitzgerald, father of fallen Temple Police Officer Chris Fitzgerald, onto the podcast. Dr. Joel contextualizes the life of his heroic son, telling about the proud moments he had with his son following in the footsteps of both he and his wife, who are both involved in law enforcement. Dr. Fitzgerald highlights all the great things that Fitzgerald did for the community, and tells about the 4 children left fatherless now due to this absolutely tragic crime. Dr. Joel explains why his son got into the career, and tells why he found it important to carve his own path in law enforcement, which is ultimately why he chose to work for Temple University. Also, Dr. Joel tells what he hopes his son’s death becomes a catalyst for, pleading for our elected officials to help officers build a community that allows for better policing and safer environments.
