Dom Giordano, WPHT host and former teacher, has dedicated much of his daily show toward parents who are taking it into their own hands to push back against school boards that have a negative impact on their children. This has culminated in a weekly podcast on education, Readin', Writin', and Reason, which has allowed wonderful relationships to develop between Giordano, educators, and parents throughout the country who are speaking out against overbearing school boards.
This week, Beth Ann Rosica joins to discuss her research into the so called “book bans’ locally in our school districts. She details how skewed the selection in the library are towards progressive views and how there’s near-zero amount of conservative literature. Is it more of a librarian issue or a school board one? Beth Ann purposely left out any Trump related reading materials in her studies, knowing how many people feel about him living in a swing state, yet the stats for conservatives continue to skew low. Take a listen!
