Dom Giordano, WPHT host and former teacher, has dedicated much of his daily show toward parents who are taking it into their own hands to push back against school boards that have a negative impact on their children. This has culminated in a weekly podcast on education, Readin', Writin', and Reason, which has allowed wonderful relationships to develop between Giordano, educators, and parents throughout the country who are speaking out against overbearing school boards.

First, Pennridge School District President Joan Cullen joins the podcast to offer her expertise on why districts around Pennsylvania are reinstituting masking mandates. Cullen tells that, in her district, parents have not called for a reinstitution, but reports that many districts are making the decision based on parental input. Cullen also discusses changes to curricula, and the importance of presenting appropriate content to children based on their age. Finally, Giordano and Cullen discuss the negative implications of school shutdowns, and how schools are helping students recover from learning losses as a result of remote learning.

Then, Dom welcomes former Texas Ranger Brad Oliver to the podcast for an in-depth discussion about the fallout after the horrific Uvalde, Texas school shooting. Oliver, now serving as the head of company dedicated to preparing resources to protect at risk areas such as schools, tells of the training that takes place in many school districts, explaining why he believes it needs to be more widespread.
