This week Taylor goes solo with a special guest and friend, Sarah. We discuss the memoir, Know My Name by Chanel Miller and our reactions to her story and the legal system as a whole.
If you haven't yet read, we highly recommend it! If you have, what were your thoughts? What other memoirs should we read?

Exciting news! We are starting a monthly mini-sode series titled Review Corner. We review books we've read that aren't our book club books and share reviews from listeners and friends. Our hope is to give you a reason to read that book you've been interested in but haven't cracked open, or discover something you've never heard of! All of this should make us more connected with you.
So send us your reviews or ask us to review a book you've read. We want to hear from y'all.
Also, follow our friend @covidcuisine on instagram and tag her in your cooking delights!

Hello friends! In this episode, T & L dive deep into some of the best and worst book-to-movie/tv show adaptations out there and there are some FEELINGS. We cover almost all genres ranging from fantasy (Harry Potter, Shadow and Bone), to Thriller (Woman in the Window, Girl on the Train), to YA fiction (literally all John Green). We ask the hard-hitting questions like "what makes a good adaptation?". Let us know your thoughts and opinions and let us know you're favorite or least favorite adaptations!

We're back together! Which brings all sorts of dysfunction as we catch up and get distracted by all sorts of topics we're excited to discuss on the pod soon. We talk about exciting life updates, heartbreak and books that display heartbreak in a different way than the conventional, romantic heartbreak, and get excited for future episodes.
Send us your book recs, heartbreak stories, movie adaptations, and more below! @readingwinos on Instagram

May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Since L is doing her first podcast episode solo, she wanted to talk about her mental health and a book that really helped her accept that mental illness and mental health aren't weaknesses! This week's episode L deep dives into how John Green's book, Turtles All The Way Down, talks about mental illness and managing your mental health. She's short and sweet this week. L thinks this episode pairs well with cider, both the hard and non-alcoholic kind!

First Book Review Episode is up! Finlay Donovan is Killing It...or is she? L&T enjoyed this read and it flew by. Added bonus that this is set in DC, which is where we met. Our dear friend and fellow bookclub member gives her honest opinion about the book and we laugh over our different perspectives. Check out our written review on Instagram and send us your thoughts on this book.

Books and baking are quite literally the epitome of coziness. In this episode of Reading Winos, we welcome Grist Chief of Staff and baking connoisseur, Caroline Saunders, to dive into the world of baked goods in books. We discuss what should actually be considered a baked good, how our relationship with baking has changed through this pandemic, and how baked goods, especially sweets, can be an incredible plot device in some of our most beloved stories.
We recommend pairing this episode with a nice glass of rosé or a strong cup of Earl Grey tea. The episodes are getting longer and the conversation is getting better!

Love books and fitness? So do we! Listen as we unpack books that have impacted our fitness journeys, inspired us to move, and helped us stay on track. Send us your favorite workouts and books about fitness.
We recommend pairing this episode with a hard seltzer (we go very in depth on this) or a liquid IV--trust us, you'll need it after the amount it takes to get through this longer episode!

In this episode of Reading Winos, Taylor and Lucia discuss what books had the biggest impact on their childhood. Taylor touches on the effect Sarah Dessen had on her love of reading, while Lucia unpacks how Harry Potter helped her through her pre-teen years. We laugh, we drink, we unravel slightly but honestly, its just who we are.
We recommend pairing this episode with a nice bourbon or a shot of espresso.
