Real Church

Have you ever seen a fire that had almost gone out?

Maybe there were just smoldering coals... Just some hot ash left...

You can throw some kindling like dried leaves or small twigs on something like that and blow a little air across it and watch it catch fire again!

The same is true with your spiritual life...

Maybe you feel like your fire is dying out. You're not as passionate about the things of God as you one were.

Let this week's message from Real Church located in Pinehurst, Texas with pastor David Crowson be a challenge and blessing to you today!

**BONUS** Stay with us through the end to take communion with us from wherever you are!

If you ask the average Christian something like "Do you want the fire of God in your life?" you'd probably hear the same "yes" across the board.

But what does it take the have the fire of God fall in your life.

In this week's message we'll look at 2 Chronicles and how we can apply the things we learn in this incredible story to our lives and start seeing the fire of God show up in seemingly impossible situations.

The book of 2 Timothy exhorts the church to be "instant in season and out of season".

Instant... Webster defines Instant as happening immediately, urges, pressing, a precise moment in time, a short space of time.

"Instant" doesn't sit around waiting... "Instant" DOES!

When we move in tandem with the Holy Spirit powerful things happen... We can be used of God in an instant!

Let today's message challenge you to allow God to use in in an instant!

You've probably never stopped to think about this when starting a fire in your fireplace, at a campsite, or even when lighting a candle...

But it takes three ingredients to create fire.

1. Kindling or Fuel.
2. Oxygen (no air, no fire...)
3. Source of Ignition

Scripture tells us to "quench not the Spirit, or fire of God." However, we are all guilty of doing this to some degree or level from time to time.

The word "quench" quite literally means: to put out, extinguish, or satisfy thirst.

Ouch... I don't want to be guilty of doing that!

We must be constantly stirring up the embers of our heart ... what once was on fire for God, but has started to die out. We must add more fuel and more air to the fire.

Let today's message be a challenge to you to stir up the fire of God in your heart and life!

What walls have you built in in your life?

Just as physical walls have an intended purpose, spiritual walls do as well.

Maybe you've built walls out of things like hatred, pride, prejudice, or good materials such as love, peace, joy, and forgiveness.

In today's message you'll learn 3 practical ways to overcome walls in your own life, as well as the life of others around you.

Pentecost Sunday is the perfect time to talk about the third person of the Trinity - The Holy Spirit.

What does the Holy Spirit do for us? What purpose does he serve? Why is it important that we receive the Holy Spirit?

All great questions. And ones we address in this message.

Here are a few thoughts on the Holy Spirit:

He gives us power over sin.

He tells us who we are.

He helps and teaches us to pray.

He helps us feel the love of the Father.

Raise your hand if you like waiting .... Go ahead, I'll wait (pun intended)

You've heard it said before, "Anything worthwhile is worth waiting on".

Think about your favorite meal or desert. Chances are, it doesn't just appear before your eyes... There's a process. It takes time!

The same can be said for spiritual things as well.

Just as in the natural, waiting on spiritual things serves a purpose. We gain understanding and desire increases as we wait.

If you feel like you're in a season of waiting may this week's message encourage you!
