What is the comfort zone?
The comfort zone is a psychological state in which a person feels at ease because they’re not being tested.
Inside the comfort zone, people don’t typically engage in new experiences or take on any challenges. They only participate in activities that are familiar, making them feel “in control” of their environment.
People stay in their comfort zone to avoid feelings of anxiety or stress, and pain. Anything outside the comfort zone creates uncertainty, and uncertainty makes us feel anxious. Naturally, human beings are wired to avoid these feelings. This makes them reluctant to leave their comfort zone.
After all, why should they?
As comfortable as it seems, this safe bubble keeps people from personal growth and doing the things they want but don’t have the courage to do.
For example, staying in an unfulfilling job for years leaves you feeling burnt out and disengaged. Yet, it’s become your comfort zone. You know you’re capable of more, but venturing out and challenging your boundaries scares you because it involves uncertainty.

Hair glue can do damage to your scalp, which can be permanent. According to The Hair Trauma Center founder and beauty expert Jacqueline Tarrant, hair weave glue does not allow for any “breathing” of the hair, in that it blocks the pores in your scalp, damaging hair follicles and drying out the hair.
Do weaves damage your hair?
Due to the fact that your natural hair is tightly pulled on when wearing a weave, this can be tough on your hair.
The constant pull could damage not only the hair stand, but also the hair follicle. Since hair follicles ca not be grown back after they have damage, this can lead to permanent hair loss.
Study: Hair Dyes, perms, can lead to increased risk of Breast cancer.…
The hazard was much higher for African-American women: Among Black woman who used permanent dyes every five to eight weeks researchers saw a 60 percent increased risk of breast cancer, compared to the 8 percent in their white peers. The team found no significant increase in risk associated with semi-permanent or temporary dye use.
Is weave healthy for your hair?
If your hair and scalp aren’t in great condition then a weave could in fact do more harm than good . For example, it could weigh down and pull on your hair – and if it’s not strong and healthy at the roots that can cause breakage and in extreme cases, even permanent hair loss. Sometimes weaves are hard on your scalp.
Dangers of fake eyelashes:
• Allergic Reactions: Using fake eye lashes can lead to allergic reactions of eyes and skin which can stem from the adhesive used to attach fake lashes to the lids.
• Damage to Natural Eyelashes: Natural lashes can be damaged if artificial lashes are not properly fixed to the eyelids. Regular usage of harmful chemicals on the eyelashes can make them fall out faster than they naturally would and artificial lashes cause the eyelashes to shed quicker than they are supposed to.
In most cases the method involved in fixing the eyelashes can cause substantial damage to the hair follicles making the natural lashes become sparse, brittle, and prone to wear and tear. The pressure interferes with natural growth and in severe cases affects growth permanently.

So what makes a dysfunctional personality? First, let’s consider what we mean by the word “functional." An individual is functional when they are able to effectively work toward realizing valued goal states, given the stressors and affordances they face.
Now, when clinicians are considering the functioning of one’s personality, they are especially looking at two broad domains, that of identity and interpersonal relations. Thus, the question of what is a dysfunctional personality broadly comes down to questions of how does the individual function in these domains, especially when faced with stressors? There are specific things one can look for.
When examining identity, the following domains can be assessed: 1) The degree of integration and integrity in the self-concept, especially under stress or duress; and 2) the capacity for and quality of self-directedness. A healthy/resilient (aka functional) identity is characterized by a general degree of self-acceptance and compassion, the ability to have appropriate boundaries relative to significant others, the ability to tolerate a range of emotions while maintaining a consistent sense of self, the ability to self-reflect and accurately narrate one’s experiences, and the capacity to recognize and experience different self-states but not become unglued, overly conflicted or dramatically inconsistent in response to the pressures of such different states. In addition, a functional identity is associated with the capacity to effectively set long term goals and live according to internalized standards that function as guides, but have a feeling of ownership of those standards and not be overly rigid or inflexible in relationship to them.
