  • #16 - Taylor Nielsen: Heavy Hearts, Suicide & Addiction

Today’s episode is a little bit different. It’s heavier, more raw and most importantly vulnerable. We need to start talking about our tough times when we go through them and not wait to share when everything is fine again. That’s exactly what our guest Taylor is doing. He’s currently facing a divorce and in the midst of it decided to share his story. Unfortunately, he lost his mother to suicide a few years ago. He also  experienced a tough childhood due to his mum's addiction. Taylor talks about his depression and own problems with alcohol. His relationship with his dad and how his wife helped him through his darkest moments.

It’s not always sunshine and rainbows and you might be able to tell that Festus’s spirit wasn’t up to his usual upbeat self. But that is what makes this episode special because it’s honest and unfiltered. It shows a moment of two men having an honest conversation about their struggles.
