I had a wonderful conversation with my friend, Mattie. Together we talk about her experience being a trans woman in the 12 step rooms of recovery.  

I feel beyond grateful for my recovery and for yours.

With over 30 years of service, MerleAnn initiated several meetings, consistently reached out to welcome newcomers, and held holiday potlucks on Thanksgiving and Christmas where all were welcome. She continues to be loved and missed.

Well, we reconvened after the summer holiday and forgot we already did this tradition!  We did have a great conversation, so I removed the beginning where we review the literature and included just our musings and reflections.
