7. Be mindful, meditative, and learn to listen. Eliminate distractions and distortions from your life. Do not become over-programmed by technology, social media, and virtual reality.

8. Be still, and wait upon the Lord.

Ask the right questions—inspired inquiry leads to revelatory response. Pray for things that are “expedient,” that God desires to bless you with. Ask according to the Spirt and not “amiss.” (see: D&C 46:28,30; 2 Ne. 4:35)

Key 3: Identify and replace the pavilions of selfish, inappropriate motives and prideful desires by declaring with all your heart, “not my will, but thine be done,” and accept God’s timing.
