The NBA Summer League is about halfway done, and so far the 2024 NBA draft class has looked quite a bit better than initially advertised. Top 5 guards Reed Sheppard and Stephon Castle each look excellent in Houston and San Antonio, respectively, while No. 14 overall pick Bub Carrington out of Pitt has been a big time player already.

In the frontcourt, Zach Edey has a well-defined role waiting for him in Memphis, while Donovan Clingan is impacting the game as a passer and rim protector for Portland. Kel'el Ware looks great for Miami and Oso Ighodaro might be the best scoring center on the Phoenix Suns already.

Keshad Johnson and Trey Alexander are a pair of undrafted free agents off to great starts, while Bronny James continues to struggle with the Lakers.
