Ref the District

With just over 1 week away until the NFL draft, it's time to get down to the nitty gritty over what the Commanders should do and which players they should consider.
So we're bringing in a couple of experts.  First, Ryan Fowler from The Draft Network will join us to get specific breakdowns of all the prospects the Commanders might draft.  We then will bring in one of your favorite Commanders content creators, Rio Robinson to play the role of co-GM with Stoner to see what Washington should do in the draft.  Should be a great show!
Of course we can't go without talking about the latest on the sale of the team and to also check in to see how Day 1 of the OTA's went.

All of that and so much more on Episode 117 of Ref The District!

Only 2 weeks until the 2023 NFL draft in Kansas City.  As we gear up for one of the most exciting few days in the NFL offseason, we'll look back to coach Ron Rivera's first draft class in 2022. Chase Young (1st Round), Antonio Gibson (3rd Round), Saahadiq Charles & Antonio Gandy-Golden (4th Round), Keith Ismael & Khaleke Hudson (5th Round), Kam Curl & James Smith-Williams (7th Round) were all drafted that year.  How does it look now 3 seasons later?

We'll also talk about Chase Young's trade value. The Lions' Jeff Okudah, who was selected #3 overall right after Chase, was traded this week for a 5th round pick.  How does that affect his value?

Lastly we'll let Stoner take a shot at a mock draft.  Hang on it could get crazy!

All of that and more on Episode 116 of Ref The District!

It's mock draft season and we'll be holding our first mock draft of the year live on air.  When we get to pick 16 (and 47 and so on) we'll ask for input on who everyone thinks should be the pick.  Should the Commanders select a CB?  How about an Offensive Lineman?  Will they shock everyone and take RB Bijan Robinson from Texas?  What if QB Will Levis is on the board?

Plus we'll delve into the controversy of trash talking in sports and who we ever thought was the best trash talker in any sport.  All of that and so much more on Episode 115 of Ref The District!

At the owners meetings in Florida, Washington Commanders head coach Ron Rivera held a press conference where he was asked many questions about the team.  A few nuggets stood out.  Most important questions had to do with the most important position on the team.  Quarterback.  Ron said the team did not pursue Lamar Jackson and also said Jacoby Brissett will compete for the starting QB position.  Do you believe this?

Ron also talked about the sale of the team, Chase Young's 5th year option, the battle for LG, who they might select with the 16th pick, and how the 3rd RB position is a priority

We'll talk about all this plus the Washington Post poll on the drop in fans of the Washington Commanders over the last 15 years.  All of that on episode 114 of Ref The District!
