In what was trending towards a disappointing loss in Indianapolis, Taylor Heinicke hit Terry McLaurin with a 33 yard pass with 22 seconds left and Heinicke snuck in from the 1 on the next play to give the Commanders a 17-16 win over the Colts and reach 500 for the season at 4-4

It's funny how the NFL changes week to week.  It wasn't that long ago when everyone wanted the coaches fired and people were giving up their fandom.  Now after a 2 game winning streak hope has been restored to the season.

This week's opponent, the Indianapolis Colts seem to be in full tank mode even though they're only a half game out of the lead in their division.  Head coach Frank Reich announced that Matt Ryan has a bad shoulder and is being replaced  by Sam Ehlinger.  However, Reich said this change does not have anything to do with the injury and that it will be permanent.

Now Taylor Heinicke has a chance to lead the Commanders to a 3rd consecutive win and has renewed hopes for Commanders fan everywhere.  Can the defense shut down Jonathan Taylor.  Can they make a rookie quarterback look like a rookie?

The Washington Commanders have done what nobody thought they could.  They beat Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at FedEx Field for their first back to back wins of the year.  Final score was 23-21

Taylor Heinicke started rough but after settling in had a very good 2nd half and ended up throwing 2 touchdown passes, one each to Antonio Gibson and Terry McLaurin.  The defense was stellar only allowing 14 points against while forcing Green Bay to go 0-6 on 3rd down.
