The 2022 NFL Draft is next week.  We've debated a great deal about what the Commanders should do with the 11th and 47th pick.  But tonight we'll take a look back at the history of the Redskins/WFT/Commanders drafts and see who the biggest draft busts were.  Is RG3 considered a bust?  What about Desmond Howard?  More recently, the Josh Doctson pick was a considerable bust by most everyone.

With the NFL draft coming up on April 28th, there are some who think the Commanders should draft a quarterback or a reciever like Ohio State's Chris Olave with the 11th pick.  Others want to see the team go defense with guys like Nakobe Dean, Derek Stingley, Jr. or safety Kyle Hamilton from Notre Dame. Do you agree?  If not, who should they draft?

The Washington Commanders have already made their big splash in the offseason by trading for quarterback Carson Wentz.  

The boys from Ref The District look at who the Commanders signed such as Troy Apke, Tyler Larsen, Bobby McCain, Cam Sims and surprisingly, JD McKissic. The team lost several players to free agency and cap cuts.  All Pro guard Brandon Scherff signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and steady backup defensive tackle Tim Settle signed with the Buffalo Bills. Matt Ioannidis and Ereck Flowers were surprisingly cut. Landon Collins was cut with a June 1st designation.

It seems that all of the top talent moved to (or stayed in) the AFC.  Guys such as Russell Wilson, Deshaun Watson, Matt Ryan, Ty Hill, Devante Adams, Von Miller and so many more have taken the money to play in the AFC

The only trade involving a player moving from the AFC to the NFC was Washington trading for Indianapolis Colt's Carson Wentz.  What does that mean for the Commanders?  Combine that with their easier schedule, can the Commanders take advantage of all these things to have a big year?

Washington Commanders Head Coach Ron Rivera made it very clear the Commanders would do whatever it takes to upgrade the quarterback position.  Today, the team pulled the trigger and traded multiple draft picks for Carson Wentz from the Indianapolis Colts.
