Dr Shirley McClerkin-Motley PhD lives in a small community called Cayce in South Carolina in the U.S. Dr Shirley has four grown up children, thirteen grandchildren, and seven godchildren. As a retired tenured professor and Social Work Department Chair at Coker University, life’s pace has slightly eased now giving her more time to focus on what really matters to her as a black African American with a deep faith, a faith that has been her rock throughout her life’s journey. Now it’s time to write, to write about an area in her life as I have already touched upon her steadfast belief in the scriptures.

Dr Shirley is a member of the International Society of Female Professionals, the Black Editors Network LLC, and Marquis Who’s Who among Professionals. As well as these societies Dr Shirley is listed in the 2024 Wall Street Journal’s Who’s Who Among Distinguished Leaders, and has appeared in Bold Journey, an online digital magazine.

Education was and still is a fundamental aspect of her life, she completed her undergraduate studies at Benedict College, where she received a miner in Child Abuse and Neglect, graduating Magna Cum Laude; her MSW from the University of South Carolina, where she received a USC Minority Fellowship. Dr Shirley was awarded a PhD from Capella University in Human Services with a specialization in Social and community services. None of this would have taken place if it wasn’t for the support from her family especially her two brothers; to these people she will always be indebted to and keeps them in her daily prayers as a profound sense of love and gratitude.

The Book

Let me give you an insight as to what you can expect from Dr Shirley’s well thought out and cleverly written account around the last book in the bible Revelation. A lot of people write their own conclusions to the events and happenings occurring here and Dr Shirley is no exception. But, for me what makes this book stand head and shoulders above the others I have reviewed is its clarity with ease of reading and understanding. The message is succinct and clear.
