This week’s edition of the podcast is all about control … a new type of control.
In the past, you’ve tried to control your food, whether it was portion size, calories, macros, or simply the types of food you allow in the house. In this podcast, we’re going to talk about a different type of personal control that’s far more effective in ending disordered eating.
During our past 4 weeks of podcasts, we’ve covered the most common “invisible” blockages that have kept our clients binge eating for literal decades before they found the path to food freedom.
In Part 1, we talked about the “all or nothing” mentality and self-criticism, and how to overcome them.
In Part 2, Shahar gave a beautiful talk on overcoming hopelessness.
In Part 3, we discussed how to rewire negative thinking.
In Part 4, we talked about weight obsession and the scarcity mentality that causes us to mentally or physically restrict, causing urges to binge.
Now in our final part, Part 5, we’ll talk about the road from victim to victor, and a different type of personal control that we’ve seen to be highly effective in ending disordered eating. (If you’re still struggling with disordered eating, you likely need to overcome this blockage!)
Substituting this one type of control for another has helped our clients make tremendous strides in their path to food freedom, and this practice happens to be one of my (and Shahar’s) biggest natural strengths. We’re looking forward to sharing this mental shift with you, to show you how it can help you on your own journey.
