Leaders can become stars, celebrities, and potential saviours to many people they lead and even themselves.   Often this can lead to burnout or fallout and a misconstrued view of what leadership is.  We had a conversation with Dr. Ruth Padilla DeBorst on how one needs to lead in community where trusted friends and colleagues can speak truth into a leaders life.  In an effort to lead like Jesus Dr. DeBorst challenges leaders to allow others to see your humanity and point them to Jesus who emulates true leadership.  We hope you enjoy this conversation.

How are we to understand the doctrine of providence?  Can we discern God's divine purposes in the world?  How does intercessory prayer work in the midst of God's providence?  How should followers of Jesus respond to suffering in light of God's providence?  How are we to respond to the prosperity Gospel?  We sat down with Dr. David Robinson and had a wonderful conversation around these challenging questions and more.  Dr. Robinson spoke to the providence of God on both an individual level and a global level, such as climate change, the current Ukrainian crisis, and the historical divine purposes of God.  We hope you enjoy this challenging and wonderful conversation.

Often we talk about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, but don't actually understand its meaning for humanity and all of creation.  Even more we focus on the Atonement of Christ without realizing that the Resurrection is significantly connected to it.   We sat down with Dr. Ross Hastings and had a conversation about his new book, "The Resurrection of Jesus Christ: Exploring Its Theological Significance and Ongoing Relevance".  We asked questions around the evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus, how we are to understand the mission of God in light of the Resurrection, and how we can live more fully as God's Resurrected people.  We hope you enjoy our conversation with Dr. Ross Hastings!

Oppression, pain, slavery, and trauma are all a part of Israel’s story.  In the midst of this pain God responds.  We sat down with Dr. Isabelle Hamley and discussed how we can learn from Israel’s story and the Old Testament scriptures in regards to mental health.  She answered questions around what the “good life” is, how the biblical text speaks to pain, and how to cultivate a holistic response to pain and trauma.   We hope you enjoy our conversation.
